I am 10 days post myo. I felt great for the first week. Now I have real bad

cramps for the past 3 days (2 motrin has had little effect). Otherwise, I feel

fine. Energy is 100% so this is really getting me down. Anybody have any

experience with this.

H.

Hi ,

Is it time for your period? If not, I would call your doc for

some advice. I had severe cramping after my myo as a sign of a staph

infection and severe myometritis (uterine infection.) There were

other symptoms, as well, such as fever and discharge, but the

1st signs were the bad cramps. I don't want to alarm you, but I couldn't

get the attention of my PCP or ER docs until it had progressed to

the life-threatening stage...if it continues, get medical treatment.

I hope you feel better soon. I know you'll be thrilled with the results

of your myo after your system settles down and you're all healed.

Regards,

Kim

Kim,

How were you treated for the infection? How long after surgery did it start?Did

you phone the surgoen who did the myo?Just a bit more

details if you can.

For those of us considering myo. I think your contribution of your complication

is quite valuable.

Thanks

Bonnie

Kim, Thanks for the info. Yes, it was time for my period, but my gyn said

I probably wouldn't really get it. At first, that is what I assumed it was

and I did seem to be bleeding a little more. But now I am barely bleeding

and I still have cramps and pain. I have no discharge, fever, etc. My gyn

said this waas normal and offered me pain medication. For now I will stick

with motrin and wait a few days. Thanks again, H.
