Guest guest
Argh...does this apply to bovine products only, or does it also include porcine? Oh lord have mercy on my soul. If ALL animals are included in this ban and it means we can't get Armour or similar products anymore...I am going to go to the black market or something and smuggle the durn stuff in for my own use. Or take up hunting as a hobby and grind up my own thryoids that I am able to hunt. Something. Guest guest
I've been following this.. so far they have not included either thyroid or adrenal tissue in this.. but that may change... Thyroid wouldn't bother me.. as I chose porcine anyway.. but I have a least a year to go on my adrenal recovery and I'm responding very well to the bovine adrenal glandular that I'm taking now.... I really wish I had the money to order enough bottles to get me through another year, in case it is taken off the market. Guest guest
I'm with you... we'll have to band together on this, quickly, before we're too sick to care for ourselves or fight to live!!!! But, so far.. porcine is safe... pigs are used for human transplants as well as food.. I think that they'll be well cared for or they one be able to use them for transplant tissues and organs anymore. Lets hope they contain it.

Guest guest
I'm not sure.. I've not been able to find out, for sure.... I should write a few letters and see what I can find out.... Guest guest
Gee, thanks.. more stuff to worry about... I used to raise hamsters... how many hamster thyroids for a daily dose? Any chance that we could get by with just doing one or two deep fried hamsters a day? They are small, like smelt... we wouldn't even have to bone them..... Somebody set me up a place to start a new herd... I was producing 250 of them a week at one time... I can do it again, no problem.... Topper () *who's totally serious.. I won't go back to synthetic T4 only, it drove me down into the ground* On Thu, 29 Jan 2004 20:41:50 -0000 " astrodiana " writes: > They also make some insulin out of pigs....most of it came from pigs > 20+ years ago, but then they introduced humulin (synthetic), which > is > what my dog used....anyway...last week I saw that there is a new pig > virus similar to SARS in Asia, called Neva or something...it's in > Asia and making pigs ill. like mad cow, kind of, but a virus as > opposed to prions (renegade proteins from like eating like) in the > feed.
