Hi All,

I have information regarding safety of plastic containers from a couple of years

ago and would like to have feedback as to whether there are any changes or

additions to this information.

On the bottom of the container in the triangle, there is a number. The

information I have for these numbers:

1 - use only once - usually soda and water bottles

2 - usually milk bottles and safe for re-use

3 - usually cooking oil bottles, may release phthalates

avoid these - I think this was for reuse

4 - usually squeezable bottles and safe for re-use

5 - usually food containers such as yogurt, butter,

other condiments and safe for re-use

6 - usually unbreakable water bottles which do contain

bisphenol BPA -- avoid re-using and possibly using at all

Appreciate your input. Thanks so much.
