Guest guest
Someone posted this on the About.com board about thyrolar and armour: The conversion chart on the Forest website is wrong. If you substitute Armour grain for grain for Thyrolar, you will be grossly undermedicated. Make sure your doc has prescribed based on the amounts of T3 and T4. 60 mg (1 grain) of Thyrolar contains 12.5 mcg of T3 and 50 mcg of T4. 60 mg (1 grain)of Armour contains 9 mcg of T3 and 38 mcg of T4. So you will need about 75 mg of Armour to replace 60 mg of Thyrolar. This is good information to know. So Thyrolar 1 isn't equal to Armour 1.
