Guest guest
Help! Would the kind person who love the Doc in Atlanta please post his name and contact info one more time? I lost it again! AARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH! I want to give it to my doc in case she should like to talk with another doc who has experience with this. I saw her for the first time today. She really tried to talk me into just increasing my levithroid....mostly with her misinformation, but I was able to answer all objections in a frinedly but informed manner. When she saw that I really wanted to try the armour and was determined so she agreed....conditionally. We compromised by my agreeing to take an increased dose of levithroid for two weeks while she studies up on Armour. She said she didn't even know how to prescribe it. I took a printout of both the Dr. Brownstein and the Dr. Domissee articles plus three full pages where I'd cut and pasted bits and pieces of emails from this group that applied to me. She seemed appreciative of them. I am to return tomorrow for fasting bloodwork b/c she wants to have a baseline before we start the Armour. I am taking the FAQ from the Armour site tomorrow when I go for blood work. I am hoping this will work out, but if not, I will either find another doc or consider self medicating. Guest guest
Thanks Janie, you encourage me! Re: Help! and Report Debbie, you are a great example of what folks may have to do with a misinformed doc. That was excellent taking all the paperwork. And if she doesn't come through, then all the power rests with you in either finding a better doc, or self treating!!! Congrats, Debbie!!
