Guest guest
I am not sure that this is the reason why it helped, but progesterone balances out estrogen and I know that I am severely estrogen dominant. I think the usual dose of prog cream was just " tickling " the estrogen/progesterone balance, by using such a huge dose consistently for a few days seems to have done the trick. I had been using the recommended dose of prog cream for months and it hardly made a difference. Try using your normal dose morning and night with 3 smaller doses spead in between. Lynda Re: Normal Temperature?? Why has progesterone cream helped with feeling hot all the time? I feel hot all the time too and wonder if you know how or why this works for you. I have been using it for about 2 months, but don't notice a difference in that area. (although other changes have been positive) How long to notice if it helps? Thanks! Guest guest
I'll not say the four words.... Here's a suggestion for you... try some peppermint tea, straight if you can take it.. the sugar doesn't help.... I'll tell you why peppermint tea... The heat is good for the sore throat and keeping the core temp up helps to kill the little buggs, which is why we get fevers. The peppermint tea is a natural, caffeine free diuretic. What that means is that it stimulates the kidneys to filter the blood more thoroughly and pass of the dead white cells and crud in the blood better without the stress to the adrenals that caffeine has... with all the dead junk cleared out of the blood the live white cells have a clear fighting field to attack whatever active bacteria or virus in your system.... All without the use of any medications.... For myself, I use peppermint tea for any respiratory ailment, or bladder conditions, pretty much anything that gives me a fever that shows that my body is fighting something. Make the tea (you can get it at the grocery store in tea bags now, Celestial Seasonings is one seller) and drink it fast and hot... and often.. I'll go through a gallon or more of the tea a day.... And be close to a bathroom... you'll be using it often... Been using the tea since grade school.. My mom taught me.. and a couple of years after she died the research was released that the Peppermint tea really does work! Mom would have been thrilled to be scientifically proven! hehehehe Topper () On Sat, 17 Jan 2004 07:39:21 -0000 " Lynda " writes: > oh boy, you are more psychic than you thought!! Guest guest
thanks, does peppermint tea taste like tea? I don't like regular tea, son don't know whether I would be able to drink it. (imagine that, an English woman who doesn't like tea!!)Would peppermint essence in hot water do the same? I am feeling a lot better than I did through the night, I did not sleep much but when I did sleep I had the most weird dreams. Lynda Re: Normal Temperature?? I'll not say the four words.... Guest guest
Peppermint tea is just plan ole peppermint leaves that are steeped into a tea. It's not bad tasting.. like peppermint but not sweet... Adding the sugar just adds to the stuff that has to be filtered out of the blood, reducing the effectiveness of the tea, so if you can get the hang of doing it straight, so much the better. I would assume the peppermint essence that you speak of is pretty much the same as what is in the peppermint leaves... Personally I hate black tea, regular every day tea with caffeine, it's too bitter. I know some folks that took a while to get used to the taste, preferred sweeter things.. they would put a hard candy in their mouth.. to have a sweet taste there.. and then guzzle down their tea.. but after a while they got to liking the benefits of the tea so much they were realizing that it was tasting pretty good after all and stopped with the little hard candies. Next time you're at the store see if you can find it... you can usually smell teas through the wrapping.. give a sniff... compare it to other teas that you're tried... I keep forgetting you're in England.. do you have any kind of food co-op when you can find herbs and nuts and things sold in bulk.. where you bag it yourself? Those are good places to go 'sniff testing' for things. Those teas would be loose, not in bags.. so you'd need a tea egg.. but either in a tea egg or bag.. the stuff.. well, I swear by it... been using it for over 40 years... Gosh... that's sad to be old enough to be saying that! EEeeekkkkkk!!! Oh... you brought up dreams!!! I had the most wonderful dream last night... I won a 160 million dollar lottery... and when I got to be on TV to accept it I was asked about what I would be doing with the 80 million dollar lump some that I'd chosen to receive. Well, I announced how I wanted to open this really awesome Thyroid clinic. With apartments for folks that had a long ways to come and needed to stay for a few days, out in the country so that we'd have space for gardens and such.. well... this official looking guy asks a few more questions about it and I go into a bit more detail about how it would be cool to put in a small landing strip to shuttle folks from the big airport... setting up a trust to be used to help those with transportation issues or no insurance to be able to get there and such... Well, he seems all excited and says to hang on a minute.. and like every one is all 'What's going on here? This is live TV. " He goes and talks to some other folks and then comes back and says that they are going to set up a bulk of this as tax exempt.. I can have some for my personal use, I determine how much I want just for me... and the balance will be set up in a trust to be used for this facility, etc all tax Free!!! I have to agree to have an overseer to be sure that I only use the exempt funds for the clinic stuff.... The crowd went into roars... It was the MOST awesomely cool dream! Guest guest
I drink black coffee without sugar so I probably would not have a problem not having sugar in the peppermint tea. Yes, I should be able to tell by sniffing it, I don't even like the smell of regular tea. I will try and find some anyway. Loved your dream!! Unfortunately mine wasn't as pleasant.
