Guest guest
Hi and EveryOne, Does anyone know of a plan where you can own a cell phone and just pay for the minutes that you actually use, - no monthly fee? I would like to have a cell phone for emergencies, etc. but don't want to pay the monthly fee when I don't use it. Seems like there could be a phone card or something pay as you go, but cell phones have to be configured I guess to a company and they all want the monthly fee. Any information welcome:-)) Peace, Love and Harmony, Bev

I have had mine since May and have refilled it 2 times, plus the initial activation, which is $20. free with the phone...it shows you your balance on the phone..I still have like 58.50 on mine..the money carries over..the only stipulation is that you refill with at least $20. every 3 months..which means for someone like me or my son,who doesn't use it often, it only costs $80. a year. You can buy it at the store, and go online to get your number. After that, you can check your account online anytime and read how to get text messages, etc. Every 3 months, I get an e-mail that says " your phone needs you " when I need to put on another $20. you can do that with a credit card or buy $20. refill cards at the same store you got the phone, and just punch in the code number to add your $20. card...very simple...easy enough for a technically challenged one such as I. I think At & T has come out with something similar now. Look at Virgin Mobile and you can probably find their site.
