amazing new book! it's called the makers diet and this fellow was cured from

over 15 diseases in his body that had no cure for them. The initial one he had

was chromes disease which led to all the other diseases and the break down of

his immune system and body in general. He was under the care of every modern

like Dr. Atkins and many other specialist doctors in Germany, Mexico, and other

countries trying anything to find a cure. He tried all modern medications, all

of them, every alternative medication or approach to a cure, and all of them

100% failed. Every thing you have ever read about various diets, alternative

cures, vitamins, all that stuff he tried and it didn't cure him. He was

incurable. As a last resort, he went to California and tried a biblical approach

to diet. The other option was to have his large intestine and colon removed. As

a desperate measure, he tried this last resort diet and in 4 months he was 100%

cured and his immune system was stronger than ever simply by eating the foods

God outlines as acceptable to eat in the bible/vegetables and meats and fats.

Prior to the diet, he was down to 100 pounds, no hair, and had only a few months

a nut shell, this man states that what we eat in the United States causes nearly

all our medical conditions. I.E the carb infested foods, the foods we eat with

chemical preservatives in it, the water we drink with chlorine in it, the milk

we drink that is pasteurized laced with antibiotics fed to cows/weakens our

immune system since we drink it, and on the list of disease causing foods goes.

He blames his decline to the point of death was because of his diet that he was

eating. There is so much info in this book folks I have no clue even how to

regurgitate it. All I can say is this is a read even if you have no faith or

belief in a supreme power. This brings a balanced approach to a diet and is

absolutely amazing and is backed by medical and scientific facts with each thing

brought out in the book.

Healthiest People Tilt Some Stereotypes.

DO YOU WANT TO BE 'HEALTHIER' THAN YOUR NEIGHBOR?'

One people group stands out among the many primitive cultures studied by

anthropologists, health professionals and nutritional historians. This group

carefully

restricted scavengers from their diet, consumed foods rich in nutrients and

lived a lifestyle that kept them free from illnesses and plagues throughout

history. That group was the nation of Israel, the chosen people of God.

The Israelites of antiquity followed a diet established by God, and were

consistently healthier than all of their neighbors. Regardless of your religious

preference, any honest student of the scriptures must admit that the wisdom of

the Bible extends far beyond the spiritual issues to encompass every area

of life-including dietary, hygienic, and moral guidelines.

Rothschild, M.D., Ph.D., wrote an unpublished book entitled, The Art of

Health. In a chapter called " Please Don't Eat the Wrapper, " he writes:

It suddenly dawned on us that God, the greatest master nutritionist of all

times, has given us an all-purpose diet more than 3000 years ago... There is

abundant historic evidence that reveals that the average Israelite, up to the

end of the 19th century, was much longer lived than the average Gentile.

We wish to emphasize that we are referring to the Israelites up to the end of

the last century, because up to those years, the overwhelming majority of

Jews obeyed God's laws by and large.

However, beginning with World War I, both diet and hygiene began to slacken

among the children of Israel all over the planet, until only a small fraction

remains true to Biblical tradition ...worldwide statistics bear witness to their

changing eating habits. The trend of longevity is gradually vanishing

among the non-observant. It appears that God indeed knew what nourishment to

recommend.

MODERN DIETS PRODUCE PHYSICAL DEGENERATION

Dr. Weston A. Price, a Cleveland dentist, has been called the " Albert Einstein

of Nutrition. " Alarmed by the number of cavities, the crooked teeth, and

the deformed dental arches he saw in his young patients, Dr. Price wondered if

these abnormalities were caused by nutritional deficiencies. With his wife

Florence, he left his home in Ohio and embarked on a 6 year journey that took

him to primitive societies on five contents. Wherever Dr. Price went, he

photographed and studied the inhabitants' teeth. He made detailed notes about

primitive people's diet, the state of their health, and their way of life.

Dr. Price chose an opportune time to undertake his study.

Dr. Price concluded that diet was the only possible factor accounting for such

universal good physical health among primitive people. People who ate the

modern diet suffered from physical degeneration, while those on primitive diets

did not. He suggested that dietary deficiencies also contributed to poor

brain development and associated social disorders such as juvenile delinquency

and high crime rates.

Price dared to suggest that modern humans learn from primitives (in an era when

it was fashionable to disparage and sneer at primitive people groups), and

strongly urged a return to the primitive diet that made our ancestors so

healthy.

No era in the long journey of mankind reveals in the skeletal remains such a

terrible degeneration of teeth and bones as this brief modern period records.

Must Nature reject our vaunted culture and call back the more obedient

primitives? When Dr. Price analyzed the foods of isolated primitive peoples, he

discovered that they provided at least four times the water-soluble vitamins,

calcium and other minerals and at least ten times the fat-soluble vitamins

such as A, E and D found in modern diets! The primitive diets derived these

nutrients from animal foods such as butter, fatty fish, wild game and organ

meats.

The pioneering research of Dr. Price provided solid empirical evidence that the

primitive peoples he studied did not suffer from obesity, heart disease,

digestive problems or cancer at the rates we do. Thanks in large part to their

primitive diets, these people groups enjoyed levels of vibrant health that

have virtually been lost to modern civilization.

PRIMITIVE DIETS NOT ALL HEALTHY

However, not all primitive diets are alike. Many of the cultures surrounding the

Israelites were " primitive, " but they were riddled with diseases instigated

by their diets and destructive lifestyles. China allegedly possesses one of the

oldest continually sustained cultures on earth. Yet many of the cultures

represented in modern China eat foods far removed from biblical guidelines. A

headline in the Palm Beach Post declared in bold letters, " China's taste

for critters may have aided SARS, " referring to the deadly flu-like epidemic

that first appeared in China. The article states:

The possible origin of the SARS epidemic, which has claimed about 600 lives,

infected 7,500 people and made places as diverse as China, Taiwan, Hong Kong,

Singapore and Toronto no fly zones in the past two months, has been tentatively

traced to civet cats, a delicacy in omnivorous southeast China.

....just as AIDS may have jumped to humans from monkeys, and the Ebola virus from

rats, SARS may have found a new host in hungry human beings.

According to the author of the article, civet cats are related to the mongoose.

They are clearly unclean animals not meant for human consumption. I couldn't

help but make a mental connection between the virtually continuous streams of

" Hong Kong Flu " and " Asian Flu " to our shores from the Far East. The article's

author added, " The Cantonese have a saying: `If it flies in the air and it's not

an airplane, if it swims in the sea and it's not a submarine, if it has

four legs and it's not a table, eat it. " '

THE CREATOR'S WISDOM

Our Creator established our genetic and nutritional requirements long ago. He

caused our ancestors to adapt to the types of foods they could gather, and

there is no evidence to suggest that modern humans are any different. Despite

our technological advancements, our physical bodies are still designed to

consume and thrive on the same foods in the same proportions that our primitive

ancestors ate thousands of years ago!

The wisdom in our physiology and biochemistry cry out for a primitive, biblical

diet with plentiful amounts of healthy meat, fish, fruit, vegetables, dairy

and nuts. We have departed so far from the wisdom of our forefathers that fully

55% of the American diet is " new food " -not designed by the Creator nor

eaten by our ancestors.

If we ever hope to be counted among the world's healthiest people, we must leave

behind our disease-producing diets and lifestyle and return to our Creator's

dietary guidelines, as incorporated in the The Maker's Diet!

A couple of years ago, while appearing on a series of television programs

devoted to health issues, I took calls from a number of interested viewers. One

viewer sent me a medical textbook written in 1896, which examined the problems

associated with " autointoxication. "

Surprisingly, autointoxication or " self-poisoning " from the bowel was a

recognized cause of disease in the early 1900s. H. H. Boeker, D.C., stated in

1928,

" It is now universally conceded that autointoxication is the underlying cause of

an exceptionally large group of symptom complexes. " (Boeker, H.H.

" Autointoxication. "

Medical Journal and Record, Sept 19, 1928;128:293). Recent research seems to

support these earlier conclusions about intestinal toxemia. Yet, many modern

medical practitioners and researchers still dismiss intestinal toxemia as a

concept that is " old and outdated. "

The " gut " goes from your mouth all the way to the " other end. " It is fully

self-contained, and yet intricately dependent and inter-linked with every other

major system of your body. It is becoming clear that anything you consume or

that otherwise exerts an influence on the body (e.g., swimming and showering

in chlorinated water, swallowing fluoride toothpaste, wearing synthetic

clothing, or even cleaning house with powerful chemicals)-may indirectly or

directly

affect your gut, and therefore, your health.

In fact, virtually every state of health is affected by the gastrointestinal

(GI) tract.

Even if you break a bone or undergo a surgical procedure, the time required to

heal is directly affected by how well your gut is able to process nutrients

and detoxify toxins! And even if you're the most intelligent person in the

world, if you fail to fuel your body properly, your brilliant intellect may

be dimmed or extinguished through poor nutrition and poor lifestyle decisions.

CARING FOR YOUR COLON

The colon is the number one repository for oxidative stress in the body. We hear

a great deal in the media about antioxidants and the danger of free radicals,

but very few of us realize most of the free radicals or oxidative damage is

generated in the colon during the final stages of the digestion process!

This explains why it is good to eliminate waste daily, rather than have it

languish for days in the digestive tract, generating potentially harmful toxins

all the while.

Excerpt from Jordan Rubin's The Maker's Diet - Chapter 4 - Hygiene: The

Double-edged Sword

An obscure race of people, attempting to cross the Sinai Peninsula about 3,500

years ago, received a highly advanced system of disease prevention and medical

hygiene. The people followed these instructions and somehow escaped the

communicable diseases and social ills that devastated other civilizations over

the millennia, as they were promised:

If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God ...I will put

none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians:

for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

-Exodus 15:26

What was their secret?

It sure wasn't the prevailing wisdom of the times. Moses, their leader, who

received the dietary and hygiene system from God, had been trained as a prince

of Egypt in the most " advanced " medical system of his era.

Yet, Moses did not advocate to Israel the sure-fire Egyptian prescription for

avoiding epidemics. They did not embrace Egypt's " two vulture feathers " and

the promise from a god named " Flame-in his-face " to save them " from every

sickness. " History records that the Egyptians treated pinkeye with " the urine

of a faithful wife, " and favored other treatments such as the " blood of a worm "

and a healthy plaster of the latest manure concoction!

Forensic examinations of mummified Egyptians indicate the upper class Egyptians

didn't receive much benefit from the best that Egyptian physicians had to

offer. They suffered from many of the same diseases that afflict us today (they

had a taste for unhealthy foods and a blatant disregard for hygiene).

THE PRACTICE OF ADVANCED HYGIENE

In contrast, the Israelites followed advanced hygienic practices according to

the divine instructions given to Moses. And they enjoyed an extraordinary

resistance to sickness and disease. God's hygiene system is remarkably up to

date. In fact, modern hospitals everywhere follow nearly every one of the

original guidelines God laid out in the Bible.

For example, the biblical hygiene regimen recorded in Numbers 19:12-22 required

strict separation of the corpses of the dead from the living. When a person

died, those present and anyone who prepared the body for burial (mandated before

sundown) were considered unclean for seven days.

Those individuals were to wash their hands, clothing and utensils with running

water, extensive scrubbing and a mild astringent. The water was treated with

ashes-a key component of soap for millennia-and administered with hyssop, which

contained the antiseptic, thymol (the active ingredient in Listerine brand

mouthwash). This biblical hygiene system also required that hands be washed

before meals and at other key times to ensure cleanliness.

The Bible also prescribes specific techniques for purifying clothing and key

instruments or utensils, along with the safe disposal of human waste, proper

burial methods, childbirth procedures, sexual hygiene, feminine hygienic

guidelines (for the menses) and more.

Leviticus chapter 13 provides detailed instructions for the diagnosis of the

disease called leprosy, with strict guidelines for the purification of fabrics

contaminated by the disease. It also called for the quarantine of people with

any highly infectious disease.

THE PURPOSE OF ADVANCED HYGIENE

Proper hygiene is as essential to optimum health as diet and exercise. You can

significantly reduce infections, allergy attacks and other negative health

conditions by cleansing your body of toxins, pollutants, disease-causing germs

and allergens.

The direct relationship between good health and good hygiene has long been

established. In fact, the first cure for cancer was based in proper hygiene.

In the 18th century, London's chimney sweeps had an extraordinarily high rate of

scrotal cancer until it was learned that those who regularly washed away

the carcinogenic soot on their skin did not contract the disease!

PIONEERING MODERN HYGIENE

One hundred years later, hundreds of thousands of European women were dying of

childbirth fever until a Viennese obstetrician named Dr. Semmelweis rediscovered

biblical hygiene. His medical students routinely dissected cadavers barehanded

in one room and then walked into the next to perform pelvic examinations

or help deliver babies-without washing their hands! Death rates often approached

the 50 percent mark.

Dr. Semmelweis went against the grain of established medical practice and asked

every doctor and medical student to wash their hands between deliveries

(and autopsies). When they did, the death rate dropped by 90 percent! However,

Dr. Semmelweis was ridiculed for his hygienic practice, and his staff insisted

on going back to the old way! Even as late as World War 11, it is estimated that

poor hygiene caused three times more deaths than battlefield wounds.

GERMS DON'T FLY - THEY HITCHHIKE

We've come a long way since then. We now know that the body's immune system is

an autonomic or " automatic " function. The body reacts automatically when

it senses an invasion by the disease-causing bacteria, fungi, viruses and

allergens that surround us in our homes, job sites or backyards. Normally, the

human immune system effectively fights off these diseases, but it easily becomes

overloaded in today's toxic world. To make matters worse, our trams-global

travel rapidly transports new diseases around the world in a day!

We also understand that germs don't fly-they hitchhike. Germs generally travel

via hand-to-hand contact or hand-to-surface-to-hand transfer. Your hands

come into contact with the chief agents of infection on hundreds of surfaces

daily, including other hands (and whatever they have touched). More than 90

percent of the germs on your hands reside under your fingernails. The same is

true for allergens and environmental contaminants.

Unfortunately, it is difficult to reach this area with normal hand washing

techniques. And these germs easily enter the body through the nasal passageway

or the tear ducts of the eyes when we touch them-which occurs at least twenty

times a day. Typically, your fingertips come in contact with your eyes and

nose more than 12,500 times each year. Each time there is the potential of

auto-inoculating yourself with germs, allergens, environmental toxins and

viruses.

Autoinoculation of the eyes and nose from contaminated fingertips is

particularly dangerous because the eyes and nose provide a direct pathway to the

upper

respiratory tract. (Some diseases enter the body through the mouth, but fluids

in the mouth and stomach combat pathogens very effectively.) Upper respiratory

problems, including sinus problems, account for 8 of every 10 visits to doctors'

offices. The average adult battles four colds per year (six colds annually

for children) and nearly 1 in 3 people have allergies.

As with most instinctive human behavior, autoinoculation also serves an

important positive purpose. When a baby first touches its fingertips to its eyes

and nose, it introduces its immune system to the outside world, triggering the

production of key antibodies to protect it from infection and preserve health.

This natural process continues throughout life, keeping the immune system

" attuned " to changes in the outside world.

REDUCING STRESS ON YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM

The good news is that the potentially deadly autoinoculation process is entirely

avoidable. Several years ago, I found a modern hygiene system called the

Advanced Hygiene system, which is scientifically designed to remove the overload

from the immune system.

This program of advanced hygiene represents the first real advancement in how we

wash since the bar of soap was invented about 150 years ago, allowing the

body to more effectively defend and protect itself against invasion from

but they do not sterilize the fingernail beds and body membranes around the

eyes and nasal passages. Sterilization using anti-microbial substances does more

harm than good, preventing the immune system from adapting to the outside

environment; this is especially important where allergies are concerned.

More than 50 million people suffer from allergies, and the suffering continues

even though many have visited allergists, taken tests, tried shots and ingested

recommended drugs. Allergies are caused by mistaken immune system responses to

harmless substances such as pollen, cat hair or dust mites. These responses

produce defensive immune symptoms such as runny noses and watering eyes.

The allergy industry treats allergies through the exclusive use of drugs that

either desensitize the immune system toward potential allergens or suppress

its natural response system altogether. Most of these drugs have multiple side

effects and are only marginally effective. While we can't ignore the suffering,

we can take a more simple commonsense approach to the problem.

The concepts of advanced hygiene offer better cleansing techniques that will

keep most of the offending substances away from your body (and may even avoid

triggering an immune system response altogether). I am astounded that this

simple approach of keeping allergens away from the body is not more prevalent.

It is the failure of traditional pharmaceutical allergy treatments (pills,

sprays, and injected drugs) to genuinely relieve allergy symptoms that has

triggered

the resurging interest in alternative methods of treatment. If you or your

DO YOU WANT TO BE 'HEALTHIER' THAN YOUR NEIGHBOR?'

One people group stands out among the many primitive cultures studied by

anthropologists, health professionals and nutritional historians. This group

carefully

restricted scavengers from their diet, consumed foods rich in nutrients and

lived a lifestyle that kept them free from illnesses and plagues throughout

history. That group was the nation of Israel, the chosen people of God.

The Israelites of antiquity followed a diet established by God, and were

consistently healthier than all of their neighbors. Regardless of your religious

preference, any honest student of the scriptures must admit that the wisdom of

the Bible extends far beyond the spiritual issues to encompass every area

of life-including dietary, hygienic, and moral guidelines.

Rothschild, M.D., Ph.D., wrote an unpublished book entitled, The Art of

Health. In a chapter called " Please Don't Eat the Wrapper, " he writes:

It suddenly dawned on us that God, the greatest master nutritionist of all

times, has given us an all-purpose diet more than 3000 years ago... There is

abundant historic evidence that reveals that the average Israelite, up to the

end of the 19th century, was much longer lived than the average Gentile.

We wish to emphasize that we are referring to the Israelites up to the end of

the last century, because up to those years, the overwhelming majority of

Jews obeyed God's laws by and large.

However, beginning with World War I, both diet and hygiene began to slacken

among the children of Israel all over the planet, until only a small fraction

remains true to Biblical tradition ...worldwide statistics bear witness to their

changing eating habits. The trend of longevity is gradually vanishing

among the non-observant. It appears that God indeed knew what nourishment to

recommend.

MODERN DIETS PRODUCE PHYSICAL DEGENERATION

Dr. Weston A. Price, a Cleveland dentist, has been called the " Albert Einstein

of Nutrition. " Alarmed by the number of cavities, the crooked teeth, and

the deformed dental arches he saw in his young patients, Dr. Price wondered if

these abnormalities were caused by nutritional deficiencies. With his wife

Florence, he left his home in Ohio and embarked on a 6 year journey that took

him to primitive societies on five contents. Wherever Dr. Price went, he

photographed and studied the inhabitants' teeth. He made detailed notes about

primitive people's diet, the state of their health, and their way of life.

Dr. Price chose an opportune time to undertake his study.

Dr. Price concluded that diet was the only possible factor accounting for such

universal good physical health among primitive people. People who ate the

modern diet suffered from physical degeneration, while those on primitive diets

did not. He suggested that dietary deficiencies also contributed to poor

brain development and associated social disorders such as juvenile delinquency

and high crime rates.

Price dared to suggest that modern humans learn from primitives (in an era when

it was fashionable to disparage and sneer at primitive people groups), and

strongly urged a return to the primitive diet that made our ancestors so

healthy.

No era in the long journey of mankind reveals in the skeletal remains such a

terrible degeneration of teeth and bones as this brief modern period records.

Must Nature reject our vaunted culture and call back the more obedient

primitives? When Dr. Price analyzed the foods of isolated primitive peoples, he

discovered that they provided at least four times the water-soluble vitamins,

calcium and other minerals and at least ten times the fat-soluble vitamins

such as A, E and D found in modern diets! The primitive diets derived these

nutrients from animal foods such as butter, fatty fish, wild game and organ

meats.

The pioneering research of Dr. Price provided solid empirical evidence that the

primitive peoples he studied did not suffer from obesity, heart disease,

digestive problems or cancer at the rates we do. Thanks in large part to their

primitive diets, these people groups enjoyed levels of vibrant health that

have virtually been lost to modern civilization.

PRIMITIVE DIETS NOT ALL HEALTHY

However, not all primitive diets are alike. Many of the cultures surrounding the

Israelites were " primitive, " but they were riddled with diseases instigated

by their diets and destructive lifestyles. China allegedly possesses one of the

oldest continually sustained cultures on earth. Yet many of the cultures

represented in modern China eat foods far removed from biblical guidelines. A

headline in the Palm Beach Post declared in bold letters, " China's taste

for critters may have aided SARS, " referring to the deadly flu-like epidemic

that first appeared in China. The article states:

The possible origin of the SARS epidemic, which has claimed about 600 lives,

infected 7,500 people and made places as diverse as China, Taiwan, Hong Kong,

Singapore and Toronto no fly zones in the past two months, has been tentatively

traced to civet cats, a delicacy in omnivorous southeast China.

....just as AIDS may have jumped to humans from monkeys, and the Ebola virus from

rats, SARS may have found a new host in hungry human beings.

According to the author of the article, civet cats are related to the mongoose.

They are clearly unclean animals not meant for human consumption. I couldn't

help but make a mental connection between the virtually continuous streams of

" Hong Kong Flu " and " Asian Flu " to our shores from the Far East. The article's

author added, " The Cantonese have a saying: `If it flies in the air and it's not

an airplane, if it swims in the sea and it's not a submarine, if it has

four legs and it's not a table, eat it. " '

THE CREATOR'S WISDOM

Our Creator established our genetic and nutritional requirements long ago. He

caused our ancestors to adapt to the types of foods they could gather, and

there is no evidence to suggest that modern humans are any different. Despite

our technological advancements, our physical bodies are still designed to

consume and thrive on the same foods in the same proportions that our primitive

ancestors ate thousands of years ago!

The wisdom in our physiology and biochemistry cry out for a primitive, biblical

diet with plentiful amounts of healthy meat, fish, fruit, vegetables, dairy

and nuts. We have departed so far from the wisdom of our forefathers that fully

A couple of years ago, while appearing on a series of television programs

devoted to health issues, I took calls from a number of interested viewers. One

viewer sent me a medical textbook written in 1896, which examined the problems

associated with " autointoxication. "

Surprisingly, autointoxication or " self-poisoning " from the bowel was a

recognized cause of disease in the early 1900s. H. H. Boeker, D.C., stated in

1928,

" It is now universally conceded that autointoxication is the underlying cause of

an exceptionally large group of symptom complexes. " (Boeker, H.H.

" Autointoxication. "

support these earlier conclusions about intestinal toxemia. Yet, many modern

medical practitioners and researchers still dismiss intestinal toxemia as a

concept that is " old and outdated. "

The " gut " goes from your mouth all the way to the " other end. " It is fully

self-contained, and yet intricately dependent and inter-linked with every other

major system of your body. It is becoming clear that anything you consume or

that otherwise exerts an influence on the body (e.g., swimming and showering

in chlorinated water, swallowing fluoride toothpaste, wearing synthetic

clothing, or even cleaning house with powerful chemicals)-may indirectly or

directly

affect your gut, and therefore, your health.

In fact, virtually every state of health is affected by the gastrointestinal

(GI) tract.

Even if you break a bone or undergo a surgical procedure, the time required to

heal is directly affected by how well your gut is able to process nutrients

and detoxify toxins! And even if you're the most intelligent person in the

world, if you fail to fuel your body properly, your brilliant intellect may

be dimmed or extinguished through poor nutrition and poor lifestyle decisions.

CARING FOR YOUR COLON

The colon is the number one repository for oxidative stress in the body. We hear

a great deal in the media about antioxidants and the danger of free radicals,

but very few of us realize most of the free radicals or oxidative damage is

generated in the colon during the final stages of the digestion process!

This explains why it is good to eliminate waste daily, rather than have it

languish for days in the digestive tract, generating potentially harmful toxins

all the while.

Excerpt from Jordan Rubin's The Maker's Diet - Chapter 4 - Hygiene: The

Double-edged Sword

An obscure race of people, attempting to cross the Sinai Peninsula about 3,500

years ago, received a highly advanced system of disease prevention and medical

hygiene. The people followed these instructions and somehow escaped the

communicable diseases and social ills that devastated other civilizations over

the millennia, as they were promised:

If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God ...I will put

none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians:

for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

-Exodus 15:26

What was their secret?

It sure wasn't the prevailing wisdom of the times. Moses, their leader, who

received the dietary and hygiene system from God, had been trained as a prince

of Egypt in the most " advanced " medical system of his era.

Yet, Moses did not advocate to Israel the sure-fire Egyptian prescription for

avoiding epidemics. They did not embrace Egypt's " two vulture feathers " and

the promise from a god named " Flame-in his-face " to save them " from every

sickness. " History records that the Egyptians treated pinkeye with " the urine

of a faithful wife, " and favored other treatments such as the " blood of a worm "

and a healthy plaster of the latest manure concoction!

Forensic examinations of mummified Egyptians indicate the upper class Egyptians

didn't receive much benefit from the best that Egyptian physicians had to

offer. They suffered from many of the same diseases that afflict us today (they

had a taste for unhealthy foods and a blatant disregard for hygiene).

THE PRACTICE OF ADVANCED HYGIENE

In contrast, the Israelites followed advanced hygienic practices according to

the divine instructions given to Moses. And they enjoyed an extraordinary

resistance to sickness and disease. God's hygiene system is remarkably up to

date. In fact, modern hospitals everywhere follow nearly every one of the

original guidelines God laid out in the Bible.

For example, the biblical hygiene regimen recorded in Numbers 19:12-22 required

strict separation of the corpses of the dead from the living. When a person

died, those present and anyone who prepared the body for burial (mandated before

sundown) were considered unclean for seven days.

Those individuals were to wash their hands, clothing and utensils with running

water, extensive scrubbing and a mild astringent. The water was treated with

ashes-a key component of soap for millennia-and administered with hyssop, which

contained the antiseptic, thymol (the active ingredient in Listerine brand

mouthwash). This biblical hygiene system also required that hands be washed

before meals and at other key times to ensure cleanliness.

The Bible also prescribes specific techniques for purifying clothing and key

instruments or utensils, along with the safe disposal of human waste, proper

burial methods, childbirth procedures, sexual hygiene, feminine hygienic

guidelines (for the menses) and more.

Leviticus chapter 13 provides detailed instructions for the diagnosis of the

disease called leprosy, with strict guidelines for the purification of fabrics

contaminated by the disease. It also called for the quarantine of people with

any highly infectious disease.

THE PURPOSE OF ADVANCED HYGIENE

Proper hygiene is as essential to optimum health as diet and exercise. You can

significantly reduce infections, allergy attacks and other negative health

conditions by cleansing your body of toxins, pollutants, disease-causing germs

and allergens.

The direct relationship between good health and good hygiene has long been

established. In fact, the first cure for cancer was based in proper hygiene.

In the 18th century, London's chimney sweeps had an extraordinarily high rate of

scrotal cancer until it was learned that those who regularly washed away

the carcinogenic soot on their skin did not contract the disease!

PIONEERING MODERN HYGIENE

One hundred years later, hundreds of thousands of European women were dying of

childbirth fever until a Viennese obstetrician named Dr. Semmelweis rediscovered

biblical hygiene. His medical students routinely dissected cadavers barehanded

in one room and then walked into the next to perform pelvic examinations

or help deliver babies-without washing their hands! Death rates often approached

the 50 percent mark.

Dr. Semmelweis went against the grain of established medical practice and asked

every doctor and medical student to wash their hands between deliveries

(and autopsies). When they did, the death rate dropped by 90 percent! However,

Dr. Semmelweis was ridiculed for his hygienic practice, and his staff insisted

on going back to the old way! Even as late as World War 11, it is estimated that

poor hygiene caused three times more deaths than battlefield wounds.

GERMS DON'T FLY - THEY HITCHHIKE

We've come a long way since then. We now know that the body's immune system is

an autonomic or " automatic " function. The body reacts automatically when

it senses an invasion by the disease-causing bacteria, fungi, viruses and

allergens that surround us in our homes, job sites or backyards. Normally, the

human immune system effectively fights off these diseases, but it easily becomes

overloaded in today's toxic world. To make matters worse, our trams-global

travel rapidly transports new diseases around the world in a day!

We also understand that germs don't fly-they hitchhike. Germs generally travel

via hand-to-hand contact or hand-to-surface-to-hand transfer. Your hands

come into contact with the chief agents of infection on hundreds of surfaces

daily, including other hands (and whatever they have touched). More than 90

percent of the germs on your hands reside under your fingernails. The same is

true for allergens and environmental contaminants.

Unfortunately, it is difficult to reach this area with normal hand washing

techniques. And these germs easily enter the body through the nasal passageway

or the tear ducts of the eyes when we touch them-which occurs at least twenty

times a day. Typically, your fingertips come in contact with your eyes and

nose more than 12,500 times each year. Each time there is the potential of

auto-inoculating yourself with germs, allergens, environmental toxins and

viruses.

Autoinoculation of the eyes and nose from contaminated fingertips is

particularly dangerous because the eyes and nose provide a direct pathway to the

upper

respiratory tract. (Some diseases enter the body through the mouth, but fluids

in the mouth and stomach combat pathogens very effectively.) Upper respiratory

problems, including sinus problems, account for 8 of every 10 visits to doctors'

offices. The average adult battles four colds per year (six colds annually

for children) and nearly 1 in 3 people have allergies.

As with most instinctive human behavior, autoinoculation also serves an

important positive purpose. When a baby first touches its fingertips to its eyes

and nose, it introduces its immune system to the outside world, triggering the

production of key antibodies to protect it from infection and preserve health.

This natural process continues throughout life, keeping the immune system

" attuned " to changes in the outside world.

REDUCING STRESS ON YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM

The good news is that the potentially deadly autoinoculation process is entirely

avoidable. Several years ago, I found a modern hygiene system called the

Advanced Hygiene system, which is scientifically designed to remove the overload

from the immune system.

This program of advanced hygiene represents the first real advancement in how we

wash since the bar of soap was invented about 150 years ago, allowing the

body to more effectively defend and protect itself against invasion from

diseases. It addresses the proper cleansing of the areas under the fingernails

but they do not sterilize the fingernail beds and body membranes around the

eyes and nasal passages. Sterilization using anti-microbial substances does more

harm than good, preventing the immune system from adapting to the outside

environment; this is especially important where allergies are concerned.

More than 50 million people suffer from allergies, and the suffering continues

even though many have visited allergists, taken tests, tried shots and ingested

recommended drugs. Allergies are caused by mistaken immune system responses to

harmless substances such as pollen, cat hair or dust mites. These responses

produce defensive immune symptoms such as runny noses and watering eyes.

The allergy industry treats allergies through the exclusive use of drugs that

either desensitize the immune system toward potential allergens or suppress

its natural response system altogether. Most of these drugs have multiple side

effects and are only marginally effective. While we can't ignore the suffering,

we can take a more simple commonsense approach to the problem.

The concepts of advanced hygiene offer better cleansing techniques that will

keep most of the offending substances away from your body (and may even avoid

triggering an immune system response altogether). I am astounded that this

simple approach of keeping allergens away from the body is not more prevalent.

It is the failure of traditional pharmaceutical allergy treatments (pills,

sprays, and injected drugs) to genuinely relieve allergy symptoms that has

triggered

the resurging interest in alternative methods of treatment. If you or your

DO YOU WANT TO BE 'HEALTHIER' THAN YOUR NEIGHBOR?'

One people group stands out among the many primitive cultures studied by

anthropologists, health professionals and nutritional historians. This group

carefully

restricted scavengers from their diet, consumed foods rich in nutrients and

lived a lifestyle that kept them free from illnesses and plagues throughout

history. That group was the nation of Israel, the chosen people of God.

The Israelites of antiquity followed a diet established by God, and were

It suddenly dawned on us that God, the greatest master nutritionist of all

times, has given us an all-purpose diet more than 3000 years ago... There is

abundant historic evidence that reveals that the average Israelite, up to the

end of the 19th century, was much longer lived than the average Gentile.

We wish to emphasize that we are referring to the Israelites up to the end of

the last century, because up to those years, the overwhelming majority of

Jews obeyed God's laws by and large.

However, beginning with World War I, both diet and hygiene began to slacken

among the children of Israel all over the planet, until only a small fraction

remains true to Biblical tradition ...worldwide statistics bear witness to their

changing eating habits. The trend of longevity is gradually vanishing

among the non-observant. It appears that God indeed knew what nourishment to

recommend.

MODERN DIETS PRODUCE PHYSICAL DEGENERATION

Dr. Weston A. Price, a Cleveland dentist, has been called the " Albert Einstein

of Nutrition. " Alarmed by the number of cavities, the crooked teeth, and

the deformed dental arches he saw in his young patients, Dr. Price wondered if

these abnormalities were caused by nutritional deficiencies. With his wife

Florence, he left his home in Ohio and embarked on a 6 year journey that took

him to primitive societies on five contents. Wherever Dr. Price went, he

photographed and studied the inhabitants' teeth. He made detailed notes about

primitive people's diet, the state of their health, and their way of life.

Dr. Price chose an opportune time to undertake his study.

Dr. Price concluded that diet was the only possible factor accounting for such

universal good physical health among primitive people. People who ate the

modern diet suffered from physical degeneration, while those on primitive diets

did not. He suggested that dietary deficiencies also contributed to poor

brain development and associated social disorders such as juvenile delinquency

and high crime rates.

Price dared to suggest that modern humans learn from primitives (in an era when

it was fashionable to disparage and sneer at primitive people groups), and

strongly urged a return to the primitive diet that made our ancestors so

healthy.

No era in the long journey of mankind reveals in the skeletal remains such a

terrible degeneration of teeth and bones as this brief modern period records.

Must Nature reject our vaunted culture and call back the more obedient

primitives? When Dr. Price analyzed the foods of isolated primitive peoples, he

discovered that they provided at least four times the water-soluble vitamins,

calcium and other minerals and at least ten times the fat-soluble vitamins

such as A, E and D found in modern diets! The primitive diets derived these

nutrients from animal foods such as butter, fatty fish, wild game and organ

meats.

The pioneering research of Dr. Price provided solid empirical evidence that the

primitive peoples he studied did not suffer from obesity, heart disease,

digestive problems or cancer at the rates we do. Thanks in large part to their

primitive diets, these people groups enjoyed levels of vibrant health that

have virtually been lost to modern civilization.

PRIMITIVE DIETS NOT ALL HEALTHY

However, not all primitive diets are alike. Many of the cultures surrounding the

Israelites were " primitive, " but they were riddled with diseases instigated

by their diets and destructive lifestyles. China allegedly possesses one of the

The possible origin of the SARS epidemic, which has claimed about 600 lives,

infected 7,500 people and made places as diverse as China, Taiwan, Hong Kong,

Singapore and Toronto no fly zones in the past two months, has been tentatively

traced to civet cats, a delicacy in omnivorous southeast China.

....just as AIDS may have jumped to humans from monkeys, and the Ebola virus from

rats, SARS may have found a new host in hungry human beings.

According to the author of the article, civet cats are related to the mongoose.

They are clearly unclean animals not meant for human consumption. I couldn't

help but make a mental connection between the virtually continuous streams of

" Hong Kong Flu " and " Asian Flu " to our shores from the Far East. The article's

author added, " The Cantonese have a saying: `If it flies in the air and it's not

an airplane, if it swims in the sea and it's not a submarine, if it has

four legs and it's not a table, eat it. " '

THE CREATOR'S WISDOM

Our Creator established our genetic and nutritional requirements long ago. He

caused our ancestors to adapt to the types of foods they could gather, and

there is no evidence to suggest that modern humans are any different. Despite

our technological advancements, our physical bodies are still designed to

consume and thrive on the same foods in the same proportions that our primitive

ancestors ate thousands of years ago!

The wisdom in our physiology and biochemistry cry out for a primitive, biblical

diet with plentiful amounts of healthy meat, fish, fruit, vegetables, dairy

and nuts. We have departed so far from the wisdom of our forefathers that fully

55% of the American diet is " new food " -not designed by the Creator nor

eaten by our ancestors.

If we ever hope to be counted among the world's healthiest people, we must leave

A couple of years ago, while appearing on a series of television programs

devoted to health issues, I took calls from a number of interested viewers. One

viewer sent me a medical textbook written in 1896, which examined the problems

associated with " autointoxication. "

Surprisingly, autointoxication or " self-poisoning " from the bowel was a

recognized cause of disease in the early 1900s. H. H. Boeker, D.C., stated in

1928,

" It is now universally conceded that autointoxication is the underlying cause of

an exceptionally large group of symptom complexes. " (Boeker, H.H.

" Autointoxication. "

support these earlier conclusions about intestinal toxemia. Yet, many modern

medical practitioners and researchers still dismiss intestinal toxemia as a

concept that is " old and outdated. "

The " gut " goes from your mouth all the way to the " other end. " It is fully

self-contained, and yet intricately dependent and inter-linked with every other

major system of your body. It is becoming clear that anything you consume or

that otherwise exerts an influence on the body (e.g., swimming and showering

in chlorinated water, swallowing fluoride toothpaste, wearing synthetic

clothing, or even cleaning house with powerful chemicals)-may indirectly or

directly

affect your gut, and therefore, your health.

In fact, virtually every state of health is affected by the gastrointestinal

(GI) tract.

Even if you break a bone or undergo a surgical procedure, the time required to

heal is directly affected by how well your gut is able to process nutrients

and detoxify toxins! And even if you're the most intelligent person in the

world, if you fail to fuel your body properly, your brilliant intellect may

be dimmed or extinguished through poor nutrition and poor lifestyle decisions.

CARING FOR YOUR COLON

The colon is the number one repository for oxidative stress in the body. We hear

a great deal in the media about antioxidants and the danger of free radicals,

but very few of us realize most of the free radicals or oxidative damage is

generated in the colon during the final stages of the digestion process!

This explains why it is good to eliminate waste daily, rather than have it

languish for days in the digestive tract, generating potentially harmful toxins

all the while.

Excerpt from Jordan Rubin's The Maker's Diet - Chapter 4 - Hygiene: The

Double-edged Sword

An obscure race of people, attempting to cross the Sinai Peninsula about 3,500

years ago, received a highly advanced system of disease prevention and medical

hygiene. The people followed these instructions and somehow escaped the

communicable diseases and social ills that devastated other civilizations over

the millennia, as they were promised:

If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God ...I will put

none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians:

for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

-Exodus 15:26

What was their secret?

It sure wasn't the prevailing wisdom of the times. Moses, their leader, who

received the dietary and hygiene system from God, had been trained as a prince

of Egypt in the most " advanced " medical system of his era.

Yet, Moses did not advocate to Israel the sure-fire Egyptian prescription for

avoiding epidemics. They did not embrace Egypt's " two vulture feathers " and

the promise from a god named " Flame-in his-face " to save them " from every

sickness. " History records that the Egyptians treated pinkeye with " the urine

of a faithful wife, " and favored other treatments such as the " blood of a worm "

and a healthy plaster of the latest manure concoction!

Forensic examinations of mummified Egyptians indicate the upper class Egyptians

didn't receive much benefit from the best that Egyptian physicians had to

offer. They suffered from many of the same diseases that afflict us today (they

had a taste for unhealthy foods and a blatant disregard for hygiene).

THE PRACTICE OF ADVANCED HYGIENE

In contrast, the Israelites followed advanced hygienic practices according to

the divine instructions given to Moses. And they enjoyed an extraordinary

resistance to sickness and disease. God's hygiene system is remarkably up to

date. In fact, modern hospitals everywhere follow nearly every one of the

original guidelines God laid out in the Bible.

For example, the biblical hygiene regimen recorded in Numbers 19:12-22 required

strict separation of the corpses of the dead from the living. When a person

died, those present and anyone who prepared the body for burial (mandated before

sundown) were considered unclean for seven days.

Those individuals were to wash their hands, clothing and utensils with running

water, extensive scrubbing and a mild astringent. The water was treated with

ashes-a key component of soap for millennia-and administered with hyssop, which

contained the antiseptic, thymol (the active ingredient in Listerine brand

mouthwash). This biblical hygiene system also required that hands be washed

before meals and at other key times to ensure cleanliness.

The Bible also prescribes specific techniques for purifying clothing and key

instruments or utensils, along with the safe disposal of human waste, proper

burial methods, childbirth procedures, sexual hygiene, feminine hygienic

guidelines (for the menses) and more.

Leviticus chapter 13 provides detailed instructions for the diagnosis of the

disease called leprosy, with strict guidelines for the purification of fabrics

contaminated by the disease. It also called for the quarantine of people with

any highly infectious disease.

THE PURPOSE OF ADVANCED HYGIENE

Proper hygiene is as essential to optimum health as diet and exercise. You can

significantly reduce infections, allergy attacks and other negative health

conditions by cleansing your body of toxins, pollutants, disease-causing germs

and allergens.

The direct relationship between good health and good hygiene has long been

established. In fact, the first cure for cancer was based in proper hygiene.

In the 18th century, London's chimney sweeps had an extraordinarily high rate of

scrotal cancer until it was learned that those who regularly washed away

the carcinogenic soot on their skin did not contract the disease!

PIONEERING MODERN HYGIENE

One hundred years later, hundreds of thousands of European women were dying of

childbirth fever until a Viennese obstetrician named Dr. Semmelweis rediscovered

biblical hygiene. His medical students routinely dissected cadavers barehanded

in one room and then walked into the next to perform pelvic examinations

or help deliver babies-without washing their hands! Death rates often approached

the 50 percent mark.

Dr. Semmelweis went against the grain of established medical practice and asked

every doctor and medical student to wash their hands between deliveries

(and autopsies). When they did, the death rate dropped by 90 percent! However,

Dr. Semmelweis was ridiculed for his hygienic practice, and his staff insisted

on going back to the old way! Even as late as World War 11, it is estimated that

poor hygiene caused three times more deaths than battlefield wounds.

GERMS DON'T FLY - THEY HITCHHIKE

We've come a long way since then. We now know that the body's immune system is

an autonomic or " automatic " function. The body reacts automatically when

it senses an invasion by the disease-causing bacteria, fungi, viruses and

allergens that surround us in our homes, job sites or backyards. Normally, the

human immune system effectively fights off these diseases, but it easily becomes

overloaded in today's toxic world. To make matters worse, our trams-global

travel rapidly transports new diseases around the world in a day!

We also understand that germs don't fly-they hitchhike. Germs generally travel

via hand-to-hand contact or hand-to-surface-to-hand transfer. Your hands

come into contact with the chief agents of infection on hundreds of surfaces

daily, including other hands (and whatever they have touched). More than 90

percent of the germs on your hands reside under your fingernails. The same is

true for allergens and environmental contaminants.

Unfortunately, it is difficult to reach this area with normal hand washing

techniques. And these germs easily enter the body through the nasal passageway

or the tear ducts of the eyes when we touch them-which occurs at least twenty

times a day. Typically, your fingertips come in contact with your eyes and

nose more than 12,500 times each year. Each time there is the potential of

auto-inoculating yourself with germs, allergens, environmental toxins and

viruses.

Autoinoculation of the eyes and nose from contaminated fingertips is

particularly dangerous because the eyes and nose provide a direct pathway to the

upper

respiratory tract. (Some diseases enter the body through the mouth, but fluids

in the mouth and stomach combat pathogens very effectively.) Upper respiratory

problems, including sinus problems, account for 8 of every 10 visits to doctors'

offices. The average adult battles four colds per year (six colds annually

for children) and nearly 1 in 3 people have allergies.

As with most instinctive human behavior, autoinoculation also serves an

important positive purpose. When a baby first touches its fingertips to its eyes

and nose, it introduces its immune system to the outside world, triggering the

production of key antibodies to protect it from infection and preserve health.

This natural process continues throughout life, keeping the immune system

" attuned " to changes in the outside world.

REDUCING STRESS ON YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM

The good news is that the potentially deadly autoinoculation process is entirely

avoidable. Several years ago, I found a modern hygiene system called the

Advanced Hygiene system, which is scientifically designed to remove the overload

from the immune system.

wash since the bar of soap was invented about 150 years ago, allowing the

body to more effectively defend and protect itself against invasion from

eyes and nasal passages. Sterilization using anti-microbial substances does more

More than 50 million people suffer from allergies, and the suffering continues

even though many have visited allergists, taken tests, tried shots and ingested

recommended drugs. Allergies are caused by mistaken immune system responses to

harmless substances such as pollen, cat hair or dust mites. These responses

produce defensive immune symptoms such as runny noses and watering eyes.

The allergy industry treats allergies through the exclusive use of drugs that

either desensitize the immune system toward potential allergens or suppress

effects and are only marginally effective. While we can't ignore the suffering,

we can take a more simple commonsense approach to the problem.

scan it with my scanner for my personal use and read it that way. I don't know

OH BTW one thing I failed to mention is that I am not sharing this information

about the makers diet with the list to say it will cure diabetes, no way, it

isn't going to cure it but one thing it will do is sustain our life and prevent

a lot of diseases that we all face in life. That is basically why I am reading

it ... to figure out a way to prevent the onset of modern diseases and prevent

them while also increasing the strength of my natural immune system!
