Guest guest Posted March 13, 2008 Report Share Posted March 13, 2008 CDC Plus ALERT The Consumer Directed Care (CDC) Plus Waiver allows the individual with disabilities (or his representative) to make choices about the supports and services needed to meet that person's long-term care. CDC Plus allows individuals with disabilities to choose their services, set the providers' schedules, and judge the outcomes. This results in a better quality of life based on consumer choice. Some lawmakers are questioning whether CDC Plus is the best way to provide services, and the future of CDC Plus is uncertain. If you, or someone you know, is using CDC Plus, and you believe that person's quality of life has improved while using CDC Plus, please call, email or write the following lawmakers, tell them your story, and urge them not to cut the CDC Plus program.
