Guest guest
Tigger, Please don't forget that you have TIME. I realize you are so much like me and you want to take ACTION ACTION ACTION and fix things NOW (or YESTERDAY) -- but, please have faith that everything is going to be OK. Mainly: YOU HAVE TIME!!!!!! AND: PLEASE work on changing your attitude: "...sent to employers that I have no chance of getting a job from" BS!!!!!! Tigger: JUST the fact that you have stayed with the same employer for a DECADE places you VERY high on the list of being eligible for a job. Do you realize how rare that sort of work history is? Employers WILL look at that and most CERTAINLY consider that beyond everything else on your resume. I know I sure as hell would if i were an employer!!! As far as paper and envelopes go: Can't your brother just let you use his? I'm about to head out to work and wish I could say more to you - I love you and will be thinking of you and I hope you will get past this depression and find a new confidence and peace of mind SOON.... Lots of LOVE and Big HUGS to you!!!!!!!!! Aloooooooooha!-JaanaModerator / Member De-Bouncerator / humble Group servant Depressed! I just wanted to let you all know, so that no one worries, that I'm not posting much today because I'm so depressed. I've been going through the want ads and the job market looks worse than I thought. Bad enough I have to go buy paper and envelopes and use my brother's printer to sent to employers that I have no chance of getting a job from. Anyway, that's my day today. Hugs to you all, Tigger
Guest guest
Dear Tigger, Hang in there. I second what someone else said that the fact that you were at a job for 10 years in more than enough said. I am thinking about. The weekend wasn't too hot for me. Stayed in bed all weekend, and in between fought with the BF. I am trying very hard to make it through the day here at work. My hips are killing me. God willing two more hours, I will make it. Keep plugging on the job Tigger. You can do it. Try sending out resumes on the computer, so that you don't have to put them in envelopes. Wishing you well, > I just wanted to let you all know, so that no one worries, that I'm not posting much today because I'm so depressed. > > I've been going through the want ads and the job market looks worse than I thought. Guest guest
Tigger~ I know it's hard to try to find a new job. Be gentle with yourself and it will happen. The market overall is slow right now so don't feel that it's you~esp. with your great longevity at work. I can't go back to what I used to do (nursing) so when and if I do work again it will be something different for alot less money. Try to stay positive and remeber you are in my thoughts. Thanks for the kind words you have sent my way since I joined~it means alot. Guest guest
Awww.. Tigger. I'm so sorry that you are so depressed. Job hunting sucks.. there is often no shortcuts or miracles. I know that you are doing the best you can.. Can you take a break?.. watch a movie or read a book or magazine to take your mind of all the evil stresses in your life? just for a moment.. ::hugs::
