Guest guest
I recently joined the chat group. My problems are small after reading all the things you all have been through. After increasing pain..like a baseball bat across your back....after laying on the floor trying to take the pressure off my back...after repeated complaints and little concern from my Doctor.....I started doing my research. During one emergency room visit at Doctor told me I had a cyst the size of an orange on my right side...like I don't know it's on my right side. He gave me pain medication. That's it. The pain still made no sense. Nothing hurts like this without an explanation or a method to resolve the problem. I have decided it wasn't a cyst by a fibroid. I hate surgery. I distrust most Dr.'s For many of the reasons many of you have mentioned. Much of what I learned about Dr.'s and the way most of them work was during my best friends battle with breast cancer. I learned several things that I carry with me. Never take one Doctor's word. Check with several Doctor's. Never trust that the medication is the right medication for you. Find a pharmacist that specialized in compounding medications for individual needs. If your insurance covers prescription...you should be fine. I know pharmacist take four years of pharmacology and Dr. take a quarter. What does that tell you! I would also like to know if anyone has had the experience of fibroids that eventually took care of themselves. Mine seem to come in cycles. Has this been anyone else's experience? I take garlic and acidolphlus. This combination works for maintain balanced ph in your body. I have learned that being too acidic can create some of these problems. I saw an accupuncturist and he gave me this advice. I haven't had any problems lately. However, I never know when these things will popup. I have strong objections to the cut/slash method that Dr.'s take when it comes to our body. When you start cutting out essential parts of your body you are creating havoc on the rest of your body. Dr.'s forget to tell you this until after the fact. There is a reason we have certain body parts. A Doctor's ultimate goal should be to not cut on you....to keep your body intact. Women need what God gave us in order for our bodies to function properly. Only if you have tried everything else and your instinct tells you you have done all you can would I allow a Dr. to cut on me. Stand straight for your rights as a patient. If a Dr. doesn't listen...fire him and I mean quick. And let him know he is being fired and why. I now tell any Dr. that I work with my requirements. To listen to me....to comprehend what I am saying...to take me serious....and not be wondering where he has to be next. If it takes an hour for me to understand ...I will get an hour. So far this has gotten the attention of Dr.'s. The flat nail doesn't get hit kinda thing. Be the client that stands out. That's my sermon for the day. Hope it helps or encourages someone.
