Guest guest
I apologize for the off topic subject, but I know there are some very diversely educated RD's out there that may have some research on this for me. I have a friend whose 7 year old child is going through early puberty, see email below: *I wanted to ask your thoughts on do you think our meats and processed foods affect today's kids little bodies? The reason I ask is because our 7 year old son, is going thorough early puberty. He has acne, body odor, some under arm hair, and even some dark pubic hair. Our doctor sent us to a Pediatric Endocrinologist and she ran all kind of tests. (Dhea, testosterone, adrenal ultrasound, cortisol testing, human growth hormone, etc. ) We got all of the results back recently that they are normal. Could what he eat possibly be causing early puberty in a first grader? I am just trying to explore some options as to how I can help out our son. * thoughts, research, experience? I appreciate any help on this one! Sara Sara Schwertfeger, RD, LD Sara B Consulting www.sarabconsulting.com www.sarabconsulting.blogspot.com Sports Nutrition – Who Delivers?
