Guest guest
hmm, that is how I knew that I needed cortef - I would jump out of my skin if the doorbell rang or if my computer made a noise. After being on cortef for about 2 months I am much less jittery. Guest guest
It is interesting that you say that you got jittery when the doorbell rang. I have an extremely sensitive startle response. It sounds like we are talking about the samething. I never thought that there was a possible connection to needing cortisone. The connection I am making as I write this is that I was abused starting at age 6 and many survivors have sensitive startle responses. Also I have talked to Dr. Derry who believes that individuals that were abused before age 12 have very different metabolic systems. I wonder if needing cortisone proves that theory? Guest guest
I wonder where pregnenolone > fits into this...possibly supplementing that, which in turn can be > converted to DHEA or whatever else is needed - might be a better way > to go? I never asked about this...but think I will research it. > Pregnenolone is the basic stuff all this is made from . See Dr.Lam bottom left on http://www.geocities.com/thyroide . Guest guest
Now that is an interesting point of view.... being raised in an environment that was high stress/self protective...... I've got some major events in my past that caused a lot of extended stress.... one of wish was a stalker that eventually ran me off the road.... Hmmmmm... would be an interesting topic to explore.... Guest guest
I tend to agree with this... I was also abused during childhood and nothing about me was " normal " for a very, very long time. The " history " has been dealt with and knowing that the mental and emotional stuff can do a number on the physical health aspects is true. It was my former psychiatrist and therapist team that taught me that seeking my personal balance would do more to help me than anything else. But, they also stated that physical problems that are unresolved or unrelieved can have a negative affect on the mental/emotional well-being. I am finding that it is true, which is why I have been working on the problems with my doctor.
