Description The volunteer would through the Project be committed in undertaking formative, action and systems/operations research on issues related to HIV/AIDS with focus on the social aspects. It will be a continuing opportunity for the volunteer to collate and systematically organize significant documents from a variety of local, national and international sources. The volunteer would also assist in conducting capacity building of various target groups in HIV counselling, communication and development of training skills to develop a pool of resource persons in the field of HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support. The project would also look forward for the volunteer's support towards action & advocacy in the following ways: · Support the cause of counselling, care & support to those affected by HIV/AIDS within the human rights perspective · Undertake prevention and care programmes · Participate actively in World AIDS Day & other public awareness programmes · Advocate on various issues pertaining to HIV/AIDS Networking and consultancy to support the cause of HIV/AIDS and related issues will also be a part of the project where the volunteer will be actively engaged.
