Guest guest Posted May 26, 2001 Report Share Posted May 26, 2001 Can anyone tell me if a D & C with hysteroscopy will necessarily break the hymen? A fibroid is blocking the path to the cervix so that I can't have an endometrial biopsy in the office, so my doctor has suggested doing this in the hospital under general anesthesia. I went to the hospital today for the pre-testing, and found the procedure I'm down for is the D & C. I'm not sure if I want to go ahead with this. I won't be able to call her office until Tuesday, but I'm looking for more information to try to get a little peace of mind over the long holiday weekend.
