Guest guest
Hi PattiSue and EveryOne, Anyone else get this swelling/soreness from Iodine? It doesn't feel good, kind of like an ache, so I try to keep the amount of iodine or kelp I take to the RDA. A lot of thyroid supplements have kelp, bladderwrack etc. iodine in them............ I wonder too what this swelling or soreness is; I used to get swelling in my joints when I took a lot of kelp before going on thyroid hormone too. What is T100? Peace, Love and Harmony, Bev I get the exact same feeling when I take kelp and T-100. My thyroid actually feels like it is trying to move, or work itself. Weird, swollen achey feeling. Maybe it is trying to jump start itself...but at the same time it is an uncomfortable feeling. Patti (thanks for the help)

I had arthritis in my ankles for many years and took kelp for my thyroid...I found it did help my energy level, but I would get almost unbearable pain/aching in my arthritic ankles and sometimes my knees, when I used kelp....I used it anyway for months at a time. Stopped to see if it was the kelp aggravating my arthritis, and when I would stop, the constant knawing pain would stop..when I would start, it would start hurting again. Really bugged me, because back then it was considered one of the best things you could use to stimulate a sluggish thyroid. Had never hear kelp could have that effect on a person, but it sure did happen to me.
