Guest guest
Janie I have been going to a Chiroprator/Holistic/Nutritional Doctor for many years. He knows my rough family history.....great deal of stress thru out my childhood, and he was there for me when I lost my (33 years old) husband to cancer seven years ago. He had me take a 1000 queston survey back in March of this year because I had been complaning of fatigue, cold extremities, dry skin.....many of the classic hypo symptoms......after we reviewed the questionnaire together he suggested that I try a regiment of supplements to see if it helped....well I am certain that I would be further along if I hadn't been lacks about taking them as he perscribed....but anyway I started getting serious about them in May and have noticed an improvement. I have just recently increased the thyroid supplement and have also started taking Isocort.....hoping to see signs of more energy soon or I may have to talk to him about Armour. My daughter is on Armour and it has done wonders for her so I know it works well. After all the studying I have done on it plus the info I have learned thru this group I know that is the route I would take if need be.... Guest guest
Janie, At this point my doc has not ordered any type of blood work or tests, he is just going by how I am feeling, symptoms and such.....he said that too many doctors rely upon test results and not the total person....if it comes to where he feels tests will be needed then we will cross that bridge when we get to it. Today I have had great energy levels all day ....maybe things are working for the better now with the increase in my thyroid supplement and the Isocortbeing added.....just kinda worried about having a " crash " so I am taking it slow.
