Hi Patti, I was searching this morning for DHEA and I came across a lot of info

on it. Just type 7-keto dhea into the search engine and a lot comes up.

Can you tell me where your Vitamin Outlet is that you shop at? We have nothing

up here on my end of the thumb. I can go to Zerbo's in Livonia when I visit

family but that isn't a " discount " place. Thanks!!

How did you like the dhea from Walmart? Is it worth trying?

I priced some the other day at Vitamin World..and it was so expensive ... like

40 bux for 100 in a bottle. (and it wasn't 7-keto)

Thanks for any help you can send my way!!

I got some Liqui-kelp by World Organic at the " Vitamin Outlet " in town that

contains 100% RDA -so 4 drops in a glass of water does it for the day. It has a

'decoction of Atlantic Kelp' as number 2 ingredient (water is the first) and

they add potassium iodide to reach the potency they desire. I think Kelp is the

way to go for iodine, and I think it comes in a powdered form too and people

just sprinkle it on their food.

I got some DHEA from Walmart just to try it and see if I felt any difference.

It was on the end of the aisle by the body-building stuff and Power-Bar protein

meal suppliments and lo-carb stuff in the OTC medicines section. I am now

searching for 7-keto DHEA which is all the benefit, no side-effects. It is much

preferred for women.

Do you have a " Vitamin Outlet " near you? Also - a really good healthfood

store may have some of these things too. We have a " Whole Foods Market " that

has a really extensive collection of whatever your little heart's desire.

Now this is interesting (see below). I need to get back on my L-

Tyrosine, and remember to recommend it to others. It helps with

conversion just as Selenium does!

Bev, are you doing the Melatonin at night??

Hi Patti -

I thought I would take this off line since its probably not of interest to the

whole crowd.

The Vitamin Outlet is in Ann Arbor, in a little storefront at the Collesium

stores just off Ann Arbor-Saline Road. Address - 887 W. Eisenhower Parkway.

Phone . Why don't you call and see if they have any other locations

closer to you? Its a bit off my usual path, but I will try to remember to stop

in there and see what they have in the way of 7-keto. I hate to buy online with

such exorbitant shipping costs. I think I have been to Zerbo's - is it a grocery

too?

The DHEA from Walmart is definately worth a try. I think 30 tabs of 50 mg was

$4.00. It is described as enhancing feelings of well-being, but I would say it

is more of a feeling of Joy and inner peace. Perhaps due to *ALL* of the good

things I am doing for my body, but it seems to enhance the positives for me.

Just be careful not to over-do it, since it can cause facial hair, lower voice,

etc that cannot be reversed. That would be the best reason for the 7-Keto.

In a previous post, You said you advocate for many people. Can I ask you what

you do?

HI Patti, I've been advocating for hypothyroidism for about 3 years now. I

guide people to the correct doctors, help them understand their symptoms. Give

them advice about dieting, goitrogenic foods...and just lend an ear when needed.

Sometimes thats all I can do...as the patient isn't quite ready to take

steps....and just needs to vent.

It can be overwhelming on some occassions....yet very very rewarding for me. I

never want to forget the " hell " that I came from; I want to take my past

situation and help people survive/repair themselves after living with this

horrible disease.

I am just now really learning about the adrenals/thyroid connection...soaking in

all that I can. I always knew they were connected and that adrenals get real

sluggish after taking over for the thyroid....yet always just dealt with the

surface level of thyroid to help people find their answers/doctors/health. I

have helped people all over the USA and out of country. My doc has patients

from all over; Japan...you name it.

I am in constant contact with ...would love to get to a meeting one

day...yet don't see that happening. If they were held on Saturdays..then there

would be a possibility that I would be able to make a few.

If you'd like to know my complete story...I am not sure if holds onto all

of her newsletters..but I told my story for her in her newsletter...I believe

last year.

I take it that you live in the Ann Arbor area..very nice! I live in a farming

community close to Port Huron called Goodells. Very small and most have never

heard of it. LOL

Michigan tends to be the hypothyroid capital of the US. It is a horrible state

for this disease and I look forward to helping as many as I can. If you ever

need help in any way...Please keep my email address and use it whenever you need

me!! I believe I also gave you my home phone..I am always willing to help

anyway I can.

Happy New Year!!

Patti Sue!!!!
