ISP - HELP!

Hi. I have been following the topic regarding ISPs and want to find out more

information about cable internet service from anyone out there that is currently

using it. I am currently using Starpower as my ISP (dial up) and am constantly

having problems. I am considering trying the cable internet that is offered

here. If any of you use cable internet can you please tell me how it is working

for you, if you've had any problems, and if it is as great as they say it is.

It's more costly so I want to make sure it is worth it. But now I am constantly

having problems logging on, the screen freezing, etc. and constantly have to

reboot my entire computer just to get online so if it works good, it would be

well worth the extra money than dealing with the frustration!!

Also, the cable internet service here (Western Shore Express) says (on the

brochure) that I have to have an NIC card in my computer. Anyone know how I

would find out if I have one?
