Jan,

Have you tried Norton Anti-Virus? It also cleans or neutralizes viruses.

I've been happy with it for years--it doesn't interfere with running other

programs, as other anti-virus programs I've used have done. I haven't used

The Cleaner, though. Thanks for the link.

That's terribly odd. I tried using my cable access instead of AOL to get in

and I got in fine. The only other thing I can suggest is try www.tucows.com

(which I think is their parent site) and you can do a software search from

there for The Cleaner. Either way should get you there. Hope it works for

you.. Maybe your browser is busy or something and if you try later you'll get

in.. Dunno. Seems odd to me.

I can't imagine why you can't get in. Do you have autofill on? If you don't

know, try typing http://www.moosoft.com .. no spaces, no periods except

between the moosoft and the com. and after the www of course :) The only

other thing I could suggest is try going http://www.download.com and look

for antivirus software there and do a search for the cleaner from moosoft.

I'm pretty sure you could get it that way. The only other thing I can figure

is juno has a block on moosoft, although I can't imagine why they would. Are

you able to get to other web sites?

Go here and it is all explained: http://grc.com/dos/grcdos.htm Hundreds of

home computers are being used for DoS attacks (denial of service) launched

by hackers against sites such as Yahoo, etc. Read through all of this

article then decide for yourself if you want to be protected.

To update Norton: Click Start, select Programs, select Norton Anti-Virus,

select LiveUpdate Norton Anti-Virus. After you've downloaded the update

and it's installed itself, go through the same routine, select LiveUpdate

Settings and set the program to update itself on a schedule.

If you have an older version, you may have to enroll for updates. I don't

recall what the cost is--it's not much, though. $5 maybe for a year.

Well, I tried again, copied and pasted into search and got no go. Can't

get into moosoft to start out. Is it possibly only open to AOL?

I will try to spell it out rather than copy and paste.
