Guest guest Posted April 1, 2001 Report Share Posted April 1, 2001 Hi: This question isn't fibroid related but most women on here are pretty savvy when it comes to female problems and I need some suggestions. I know a 15 year old girl who has her periods every 2 weeks on the dot. Her doc. told her she was not ovulating, just shedding her lining. This does not make sense to me. I told her to take her temp. every day to see if she's ovulating. The dr. put her on birth control (why?) and this made her very ill, she had headaches with blurred vision and speech and she gained 15 pounds. Her mother immediately took her off. Does anyone here have any idea why whe would have such frequent periods on such a regular schedule? I think her dr. is full of it and unfortunately, they live in a very small town with no other choice for dr.'s. Thanks, ...fibroid sufferer!
