<< Hi Group,

I am seriously considering joining the Mifepristone study going on now at

Rochester.  I think I recall that we have a few list members who are in this

or previous studies on this drug.

Can any of you please give us an update on how the drug is working (or not!)

for you, and how are you feeling? What are the side effects, and how long

have you been taking it?

I appreciate this very much!

Hi Elise,

I've been in the study since last November. I've been taking 10 mg a day. I

just had my four-month follow-up a few weeks ago, and the drug is definitely

working. I started at about a 30-month pregnancy size, and I'm down to around

19 weeks size. I feel fine, no ill effects. My periods have stopped, of

course, but I'm OK with that. :>

I hope this helps.

Elsie and ,

Could you please give me more information on Mifepristone and this study. I

am about to schedule a myomectomy, but would love to hear about other

options. I have a 12 cm fibroid and some smaller ones.

Thanks,

Tina

Do anyone know if there are any reports yet written on the effectiveness of

Mifepristone? I have done searches on the internet but only come up with use as

abortion drug.
