Dear FORUM

It is indeed strange that we are debating at the Highest level whether

5.7 [uNAIDS] or 5.206 [NACO] million is right.

It is high time we look as these no.s as humans and not as mere

statistics .

Estimates state that only 7 % [if that figure is right] of Indians

who require ART got it last year:

This is something which the policy makers should seriously delve into

rather than splitting hair about estimated statistics.

I beleive that if HOPE is provided to PLWHA in the form of free [ or

atleast subsidised ] ART they will come out for therapy. Do not diagnose

them and expect them to take ART at their Expense !

I wonder , do we have to diagnose them at all ; if we cannot treat them; how

does that justify our medical ethics ?
