Guest guest
Here's a few of the apps I have on my iPod touch: WFMissions (Whole Foods Market Missions App): This has nutrition tips, a store locator, and " missions " which help encourage one to try a variety of foods. FSN (Food Safety Network): Headlines and brief articles of current food safety topics. Seafood Watch: A seafood and sushi guide of sustainable seafood for your region (provided by the Monterey Bay aquarium). Fast Food Calorie Counter: Provides nutrition information from a wide variety of quick service restaurants. Spark People: Your food, weight and fitness trackers can easily be synced with info entered online. See Sparkpeople.com for more info. iFood assistant: From Kraft foods, gives you access to recipes, coupons, budget wise eating info, etc. Recipes come with nutrition information. You can also access your Kraftfoods, com " recipe box " through this app. MedCalc: great interactive app for a variety of nutrition and other calculations. Epocrates: there are several versions, one of which is free. The free one helps identify drugs, diseases, etc. Medscape: extensive medical information is available. WebMDmobile: Includes a symptom checker, conditons, drugs/treatments, and first aid information. Pocket Lab Values: a quick reference to medical labs. Medical Abbreviations: extensive list of medical abbreviations. Hope this helps. If you look around iTunes under the app store, there are many other health, nutrition, and medicine related apps both free and low cost. Anne Jackisch, M.S., R.D., L.D.
