Revia is nothing more the brand name of the mu opiate receptor antagonist

Naltrexone. Recently so called " addictionologists " have been experrimenting

with that old dopers nemesis NALTREXONE. From my readings of the clinical

studies in this are they all draw the same conclusion: There is NO

SCIENTIFIC REASON for this med to work as an antagonist for alcohol as it

binds to the mu opiate receptor exclusively. They have had a smatterring of

success but no more than for a placebo in any double blind clinical study.

They older methods are time tested, tried and true and I have seen them work

hundreds of times for the DETOX portion of abstinence if this is your goal,

to continue abstinence,cognizant

behavioral modification might help. One thing for sure, don't join ** (do we

use the " aa " word around here?)....well you get the idea. Anyone interested

in clinical studies regarding Naltrexone and Alcohol write me directly. I

will send you a few studies and links to others studies.
