ne,

Thanks for the effort you go to in order to share these stories with us. I

depend on them and use them to educate medical staff. I am disappointed to hear

you are no longer going to post them to this list. I probably will not subscribe

to yet another list serve. I think the positive support for keeping them going

on this list will outweigh the negatives from those who don't know how to manage

large numbers of emails.

Dear Colleagues,

Over the years I've gotten many comments about the news emails that I

send -- some positive, some not. I realize that they can be a nuisance

for some, and that others would like to receive them " batched. "

To this end, I have started a Yahoo group for posting such news. The

group is [Nutrition_News].

Those of you who would like to receive the emails can join, and can

choose to receive individual posts or batched digests; you can also set

" nomail " whenever you choose, or unsubscribe.

I will probably continue to send posts to the groups for a bit longer,

but then will send only to Nutrition News.

If you'd like to join, go to:

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Nutrition_News/

Best regards,

Dave,

If you have the option, you should filter all of your listserv email. I

wouldn't be able to function if it weren't for filters!

I like it just the way it is. I like getting all of the emails ne sends,

although I don't open them all. I decide by the subject line whether to open

emails on list serves or not and simply delete the rest in one quick action. No

problem. I for years have had all my list serve emails go to specific folders,

not mixed in with my personal emails.

> I like it just the way it is. I like getting all of the emails ne

sends, although I don't open them all. I decide by the subject line whether to

open emails on list serves or not and simply delete the rest in one quick

action. No problem. I for years have had all my list serve emails go to specific

folders, not mixed in with my personal emails.

I missed ne's original post, and I am also disappointed that I will no

longer receive the informative posts she has been regaling us with for so many

years. I can understand it will be far easier for ne to just post to one

site, her own. I have benefited from the information, but even more from the

redundance, as with my schedule it's so easy to miss an important post. More

than once I've received a news message that answered a question that had just

come up, almost as if my thoughts had been guessed.

Thank you ne, for keeping us informed in the past, and ensuring that we

continue to have access to the information.

Folks, no reason to miss her posts!  Just subscribe to the new group and set

your filters to send the emails to a specific folder.  Then you can read them at

your leisure.

The yahoo group name is Nutrition_Reports.

I open up my email folder where they go and look at the headlines, delete the

topics that I have no need to read and then read the ones that interest me.

For those of you who say you will miss nes posts.

I registered on ne's website to continue receiving the posts. You indicate

the email address that you want them sent.

I believe she mentioned this in her email announcing  her new policy. I have

been receiving the posts regularly since I signed on.

Yes, I noticed that some are misunderstanding what ne has done.

She's just changed these to a subscription-base. Here is the link to

Hi Everybody,

I'm still here -- sort of. Just swamped for the time being.

I'd been trying to find a way to filter emails by DPG (to avoid

complaints -- i.e. sending DM-related posts to a sports group, etc.) but

it was getting terrifically time-consuming.

I'm hoping that being able to post to a single group will save me some

time. Yahoo, while not glitch-free, has archives that are the easiest to

search of any I know, so if people delete a post then want it later on,

I won't need to locate it on my hard drive and re-send. For the time

being I'm still posting to the groups, but I'd like to quit fairly soon.

You're already Yahoo members, so if you'd like to sign on, go to:

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Nutrition_Reports/

Next screen, click " Join This Group "

Best,

ne
