Just joined and wonder if any women out there suffer (like me) from

constant bacterial vaginosis? I just started to try to treat myself

more " naturally " (instead of the constant antibiotics the doctors

want to put me on) with garlic and yogurt (alternating nite by nite).

Any feedback would be so welcome. Peace to everyone.

If you use tampons...stop and switch to pads. I have read a few

stories of chronic BV due to tampons holding in the bacteria.

You can also ask your gyn or doctor fo aci-jel. It is a gel that is

neutral pH and will keep your pH neutral so no YEAST (like from the

anitbiotic treatments) and no BV or bacterial infections. I prefered

the aci-jel to the boric acid inserts (see next).

Boric Acid inserts work like the aci-jel. They make you neutral.

Take " 00 " size empty gel caps (health food store or some pharmacies

have them) and some boric acid powder (pharmacy has it) and both

should cost less than 12.00 total.

Fill the capsules by putting powder onto a paper plate or piece of

cardboard or paper towel, open the capsule and scoop up the poweder

with both sides. Make a bunch (about 30) to have on hand. INsert 2

a night high into the vagina with your finger. Most people do this

for 14 nights but you can see how it goes after a week or so.

NOW...the drawback with Boric Acid is that is causes you to

leak...like a lemon makes your mouth water...and it can irritate your

vulva skin. You can put vaseline on the skin then wear a mini pad to

help with that. I only burned for the first 2 treatments..then got

better.

Hope this helps....

Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaank you Jaana! *lol* a SAHM = Stay at home Mom. But either way, it's a full time job. Especially for lil ol me right now because hubby is doing two week annual training for the army reserves So I'm on my own up here. So far I've had severe weather ( twisters, the whole shebang, none too close to me tho ) Then my plumbing backed up and started belching you guessed it all over my floor. *YAY*...Not. That was all the first day, yesterday was awful too. But this morning they came and fixed my Toilet *YAY* ( I never thought having a toilet could make someone so happy )And my kitty had babies ( all together now...Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww*lol* ) And my bishops sending out people to make sure I don't collapse in this unseasonably hot weather. Where are you in Hawaii? I lived on Oahu ( got married on sunset beach ) for 2 years when hubby was active duty...I miss it!!! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! And you guys are stuck with me now. It's all good though, I'm like the class clown.

*pixie kisses everyone, and ambles out the door*
