AP: AIDS Awareness and Sustained Holistic Action (AASHA)

Dear Forum,

Andhra Pradesh government has launched a massive programme with name

AASHA (AIDS Awareness and Sustained Holistic Action) with an objective of 100%

awareness.

The 2nd phase of programme AASHA - II is just concluded on 31-05-2006.

In eachviiage of a mandal (Sub-District) in the state ,a awareness

programme is conducted with a cultural troop and the messages are

spread in the form of song and drama.

In Warangal district the faith base CBO by name LODI Multi Purpose

Social Service Society has made a movie with name " I want to go to

School " and aperson by name Mr.Narendar made a Movie called " Brathakalani Asha "

(Wish to live),They are very good.

We hope that we can stabilize this epidemic in our state by vigourous

interventions by the Government and NGOs.
