Does anyone have any experience or information on this subject? Also, if anyone has undergone an abdominal myomectomy without Lupron, did you have excessive blood loss with the surgery? Therese Therese, I had an abdominal myo w/out Lupron. I had banked 2 units of my own blood " just in case " and did end up needing it. They didn't say how much blood I'd lost, but 2 days after the surgery I developed a rapid heartrate, breathlessness and could hear my hear thundering in my ears. They decided to give me my blood and I was fine. I guess it didn't look like a dramatic enough loss on the table to transfuse me at the time. I was sure relieved that I'd banked my own though.
