Guest guest
, I am so sorry to hear of your problems over the Thanksgiving holiday. I am glad that things seem to be working out okay for you now. I would say " take Care " but I suppose that would be like closing the gate only to find that the fence was down on the other side. Oh well, take care anyway. Cy & Crystal... bad weekend Well, the stupid new insulin pump screwed up and did not give me enough insulin, so my BS went up to almost 400. I did not know why and ended up in the hospital at 1:00AM Sat. morning thinking I was having a heart attack. the pump started beeping at 3:00 Am and it said on it " end of temporary basal rate " . We called the company at that time and were told that I must have hit certain buttons; however, earlier that evening it had beeped and said " system error'. We had reset the ting according to what the person from the company said, but I must have hit something wrong and put it into the decreased insulin rate mode. As I never have BG levels that high, it gave me angina. Once the insulin started working again, the BG level went down to normal (under 120), but the blood pressure would not come down., so I spent 2 days in the hospital getting that regulated. The BP problem is due to the slowly failing kidneys, of course. However, things are now looking okay and they sent me a new pump. We filed a major complaint, so I'll see what they will do about the hospital bill. Hope you all had a better weekend than I did!
