I am assuming that " normal papillae " is incorrect? >> Naww.. it's not incorrect.. it's just 2 ways of saying the same thing, although interestingly, the word papillation is not in any dictionary I've looked in (Stedman's electronic and Stedman's Plastic Surgery/ENT/Dentistry).
