Someone posted that they are interested in trying the low oxalate diet. Type Rowan's resources into your search engine and you will be taken to a site that gives you this information as well as information on fibromyalgia which is a related disorder to VV. By the way the low oxalate diet and calcium citrate works really well for me. If I follow it I am pain free- if I don't I'm in terrible pain. Shelli

Hi,

I read your message regarding the oxilate diet. Please tell me more information about the diet. I was tested, and I want to go on the diet. I need a little positive reinforcement.

Thanks

B

Hi B,

Just curious to know what you were tested for? I'm assuming it was the oxalate levels in your urine? If so, did you do it thru Dr. 's (sp?) office and what did the tests reveal? Thanks - Debra

I was tested by Dr. solomons. I did a ten vile urinalysis. The test revealed that I was very high in oxilate at certain times of the day. In the morning and at night. I am supposed to go on the low oxilate diet along with taking 5 calcium citrate pills at certain times of the day. I haven't started it yet. My vvs isn't causing me pain. At certain times of the month, I can be very tender. I am able to have sex; however If I am in the middle of a flare-up, or I am extremely tender. Sex doesn't make me worse, It just exacerbates my symptoms.

Ever since I received the diet, I wanted to talk to someone it actually worked for. Thank you for writing to me.

Dear Sue, regarding your success on the low oxoalte diet- I too have had a

great deal of success. I am just wondering if my VV could simply be a case

of food allergies. I can control my pain on the diet 100% but if I deviate

my pain is excruciating. I have no pain on sexual penetration so that's what

made me believe it could be a food allergy. I do however have high peak

oxolate levels at certain times of the day as confirmed by Dr. s. Do

you need to have pain on sexual penetration to have VV? Thank you
