I want to try Outback as well but I am quite nervous. You didn't

have any problems with eating there?

I can say for myself that Carrabbas DEFINATELY makes me nervous, I

was there just a few months ago, and instead of telling me they

couldn't accomodate me they " attempted " to make something GF as my

father was pushing me telling me it was ok to eat it even though I

definately didnt get the feeling they knew what the were talking

about. In fact I can say that the waiter and cook had NO idea

because I explained gluten and specifically said, just raw chicken

grilled on a separate part of the grill with no seasonings and they

brought it out and said " We put some pepper on it, thats ok right? "

My girlfriend was almost in tears and kept whispering to me to not

eat it. My dad, who at the time didnt understand Celiac's but

thought he did, was pushing me to eat it. I ate it and got EXTREMELY

sick, like very very very sick, vomiting, bowel the whole nine

yards. Emmy now has a rule that if we're at all nervous I dont eat

it - period - no matter what anyone says or infers about me acting

rude or whatever by not eating. It is definately nerve racking that

they can't even spell it right.

I'm not at all trying to scare anyone away from Carrabbas, I just

have a negative association with them now and I doubt I could muster

up the courage to eat there, even if they do have a " GlutOn-free "

menu! It could of course just be MY local Carrabbas or something.

And when I was there a few months ago they did not have a Gluten

free menu so perhaps they have researched it and are doing a better

job now.

The only restaurant I haven't had a problem with is PF Changs.

Mcs has made me sick several times. Are there other

restaurants that anyone has been okay with? I would love to be able

to eat out but its soooo scarey.

Have a wonderful gluten free day everyone

& Emmy
