Jamy, for comparison's sake--my testosterone was 22 with a range of

14-76. And supplementing with 1 mg. via a gel (from a compounding

pharmacy) made a difference!! No more late afternoon sleepies. And

boy, what it did for my libido!!!!!!!! hahahahaha I also take DHEA

in the same gel.

> Well, I just got my new Labs back from Friedman in LA. He thinks

my testosterone looks low. The tests from the other DR looked above

average. He may want to even give me dhea, plus the testosterone.

He is waiting for the results of dhea. This doesn't look low to me.

What do you think

> testosterone serum total 20 adult female

premenopasal 10-55

> bioavailable testosterone 3.0 adult female

1.1-14.3

I am not sure how he wants to supplement. The following is the coversheet of

what he said on my results.

Hi-heres the labs and dictation. I still want to add a few labs on to the

already collected bloods-renin, free t3 and dheas.

Form what I got:

1) adrenal- cortsiol of 9.9 (low to normal) acth 21 -normal,aldosteorne 2.1

low, testosteorne 20-lowish normal, ufc-normal, 17OHS-normal, 17OHS/cr

highish. To best evaluate your cortisol, we should do a stimualtion test

called a cosyntropin test, that a nurse called rhodora at cedars could

do.let me know if you want me to schedule it. Once I get the dheas back we

can consider testostereone or dhea repalcment

Once we get the renin back, we can tell what is the csue of the aldosterone

problem, but I would start florinef-1/2 pill for two weeks, then 1 pill if

no side effeccts of headache or leg swelling

I don¹t think you cushings, but lets send off 2 11 pm salivary cortsiols.

I'll send you the kit and you just follow directs and mail it.

2) pituitary-igf1 165-nl estradiol looks good (good dose of estrogel) ,

prolactin fine, lh, fsh low, but probably from the estrogel

3) thyroid, free t4 a bit low, tsh fine. Lets see your freet3, but I will

probably add some t4 and decrease your armor

4) other-ferritin and transferrin low I'd like it around 70-see attached

article-I would take irone sulfate 325 mg 3X/day and get it rechecked in 3

months.

b12, folate fine

Insulin and glucose fine -no sign of insulin resistance (sorry that was my

bet)

Leptin-hormone made in fat cells-appropriate for your weight

I don't have the time right now to properly evaluate all your

interesting info, but I did note his comment to lower your Armour

and add T4! Are you SURE you want to do that??? Please list the

actual numbers for your frees and the ranges, will you???
