Guest guest
Bobby, How are you taking it? Are you swallowing - with or without food, or do you do it sublingually? How many doses do you do a day? How are your adrenals? What supplements are you taking and when? Vitamin C increases absorption, Calcium and iron are binders and inhibit absorption. Selenium aids in the conversion of T4 to T3. How long have you been on Armour? What was the length of time between dosage increases? Why are you on Thyroid - Thyroidectomy, Hashi's, Cancer, RAI? Doc would not do anything due to THS # being ok, so I was trying the armour from England to see if I could get good results, so far No results at all... Guest guest
Bobby... More questions.... as we try to figure this out.... The calcium, when are you taking it in relation to the thyroid? Also the Zinc.... I think I read Zinc can be a binder but not many folks take it regularly... I believe I read somewhere that you should take too much of it for too long due to side effects, but I don't remember what they are A few week isn't long enough.... you may be overdosing... it takes 4 to 6 weeks for the T4 to build up in your tissues before you find out that you're taking too much. What were your labs? Values and ranges What time of the day have you been taking your temp? Low basal temp. Taken the first thing when you wake, before even moving around is the basal temp and the best indicator of thyroid level being off.... if that temp comes up during the day.. again, confirmation of low thyroid... If the temp holds the same during the day and does not come up that can be an indicator of low adrenals. Guest guest
Hi Bobby! Having glanced at your answers to questions, I am struck by the fact that you have only been on the 5 grains for a few weeks. Would you remind us when you started on Armour and what amount you started on, what the increases were and when they occurred....before I go into other comments.... In faCT, THYROID WITHOUT ADRENAL SUPPORT CAN BE COUNTER-PRODUCTIVE... Strong adrenals or adrenal support optimizes your Armour dose. One other thing....is it possible you are adding muscle while ridding yourself of fat...and since muscle weighs more, it's not showing on the scale??
