Tread time

Hello,

Well I did 32 min, 2.33 mi with elevation for about 10 min. Here's the

kicker........ I did 5.1 today! It was only for about a minute but I

did it! After an ankle problem early in the summer and then slacking

and then bronchitis in August I hadn't been able to even go 5.0. It

feels great to be getting some speed back. I'm going to try 5.2 next

week. Now have to get my sweaty butt in the shower and get dinner made.

You all have a good one!

PS Oh and after saying I didn't go up for TOM, I was up 2 yesterday and

started today. Oh well.

Bravo!!!!! That is so excellent!! Next time it will be a little

longer than 1 minute. All in time. Your like me I ulternate my

speeds. Some nights are slower than others but all that counts is

that we do it. Congrats on the great workout!

How much weight do you use? I personally am able to do 140 lbs on

the Leg Press and 80-120 lbs on the Calf raises. If you find them to

be extremely easy, increase the weight to really work the muscles.

No you will not get legs like a body builder, for us women it doesn't

work that way unless you do countless sets and take drugs.

raises. So, that's 150 lbs of weight on one calf.

You have to do A LOT of weight to look like a body builder. A lot.

Well.. She pats areas that, I assure you, are fat. Back fat. Why she

thinks that smooth flabby stuff she can't flex is muscle, I don't know. I

guess she figures since it makes her back broad, it must be muscles.... Not.

If it's muscle, you can flex it. (You might have to fiddle around moving

your shoulder in funny ways to figure out HOW to flex your back muscles

while feeling the muscle with the other hand. But you can feel the muscle

flex. Fat just rides on top..)

i have gained five pounds in one week and i have been eating

excellent drinking more water, doing great on working out and

everything and still gained five pounds and i assume it's from that

since like i said i love all my body now except my stomache, and i

feel very firm except the stomach so i'm assuming its from the

muscle. if not oh well because to me i am looking better. and i

will keep doing it as well.

i have not gotten any cardio done yet but i will go walking when i

get home tonight.

jennifer, it could be result of so many things....as people have

said so many times....our bodies fluctuate a lot.....if your clothes

don't feel tight....i don't think i'd worry...i'd wait until next

week, keep eating right, exercising and drinking your water...and the

scale will probably tell you something else....is af due anytime

soon? sometimes that will really throw things off a lot......

said so many times....our bodies fluctuate a lot.....if your clothes

don't feel tight....i don't think i'd worry...i'd wait until next

week, keep eating right, exercising and drinking your water...and the

scale will probably tell you something else....is af due anytime

soon? sometimes that will really throw things off a lot......

Are you measuring? How are your clothes fitting? If you are fairly new

to regular exercise it is probably muscle. I remember way back when I

was going to a gym and first did weights. I gained 6 pounds but went

down inches. That is why I say don't just go by a number on a scale.

The important thing is you are changing habits and improving your

lifestyle. The results don't always show right away. Keep at it, they

will. Oh also what time of the month is it?

you can do calf raises on the leg press, put your toes down towards

the bottom of the square, and push up and down for your calves kind

of like calf raises when you stand.

i'm not sure about the thing being due anytime soon, becuase i

haven't had one since sept 21. so i don't know if that's because of

my changes or if i'm acutully finally pregnant or if i'm going to get

it now. i have no idea. the last test i took was a few weeks ago

and was negative.

i'm not new to excersize at all, but have beene doing different

routine and weights. i am measuring in the mroning is a 35 waist and

in the evening is 36 where as used ot be 35.75 and 37 so did lose a

little. oh i know not to go bu numbers i was just stating i don't

know if it's due to that or other things. i don't know what time of

month it is because i haven't had it since sept 21. could be

weights, different routine adjustments or pregnancy. who knows. ill

have to test again.

Dont sweat it! You can be sure that those pounds arent fat! If you've

gained even 2lbs of muscle then you'll be burning even more fat :D You

are probably just retaining a bit of water as well.

If you have been eating properly and doing as much exercise as you say

then it is NOT FAT. Its impossible. *hugs*

I know its annoying, but try measuring instead if the scale gets you

down (I hate the scale! so i go by my clothes and how they fit.). You

may find that even as you " gain " you lose inches :)
