South India Project Group {SSIPG} is a newly constituted group of NGOs working on strengthening Programs of Managing HIV and AIDS in the NGO Workplace. The SSIPG is on the look-out for a Project coordinator who will over see the SAN! South India Program. Essential Criteria for Applicants: 1. Proven Managerial Skills 2. Proven Experience in HIV sector 3. Proven Communication skills 4. Proven Leaderships skills. 5. Willing and Able to travel 6. Fluent in English and either Tamil, Kannada or Telugu. 7. Indian resident. Responsibilities of the project coordinator 1. Project Management · Lead on strategic and operational planning for implementing the development of HIV and AIDS related workplace policies in NGO settings. · Mapping of participating partners (reflecting in a database accessible for all)and other relevant issues brought on board such as available resources - · Organize training (outsourcing) for enabling NGOs to develop and implement their workplace policies related to HIV and AIDS. · Responsible for providing/organizing technical support (direct or outsource) · Program Monitoring and reporting 2. Coordination · Organizing meetings with the SAN South India Project Group · Secretary to the SSIPG · Liaison with SAN! Project Officer, Holland and host organization INSA India. 3. Project Administration · Financial management · Logistical support 4. Communication · Organizing learning and sharing events related to the development and implementation of workplace policies. · Documentation of lessons learnt and best practices 5. Collaboration and Networking 6. Fund raising from local donors · Establish an overview on the profile donors' programs · Arrange meetings with donors · Writing proposals 7. Accountability · Accountable to participating organizations, SSIPG, host organization and SAN! 8. Representation · Linkages with government, INP +,private sector, SAN!, donors and other forums 9. Lobby and advocacy · Specifically for this initiative on behalf of the participating organizations The 3 year SAN! South India project isfocused on the development, support and implementation of workplace policies in target NGOs in South India. Consolidated Salary : Rs 20,000/month.
