Guest guest
I'm sorry I haven't been posting lately....I'm still getting high fevers (right now my temp is 104.6). When I saw my doctor he just said " well, you just must be fighting something off " . What a jerk! This is really messing me up. I wish I could figure out what was going on. The shivering and shaking that goes along with it (not to mention headaches that feel like the top of my head is going to blast off) really messes with my fibro. I haven't been able to get out of bed for days, except for a few hours in the evening) and I can't sleep much. I'll get maybe 2 hours of sleep at night, and the pain wakes me up. It's especially affecting my back and legs, and I haven't felt like eating in a couple of weeks. I see my new rheumy on June 1, so maybe he can tell me what's going on. I don't want to come across as a whiner, but this is getting me down in a bad way. I just stuck my digital thermometer in my mouth and my temp is now up to 105. I hope y'all had nice Mother's Day. My daughter couldn't get a baby-sitter for Sunday, so she took me out shopping on Saturday. She bought me a really really hot dress...when my oldest son asked what it looked like, I said it wasn't something I'd wear in front of my sons, lol! (sometime in the last several months I started developing a nice cleavage...I guess there are some perks to getting older, lol). She also got me a pair of stiletto heels to go with the dress, definitely not the kind of shoes you'd go dancing in, heh heh. My husband REALLY likes them, and the dress. And, to top it all off, she bought me a necklace with a doodad that hangs down into my cleavage, and earrings to go with it. When I got home, my husband was just getting in from work and I raced to the bedroom and put everything on, and boy did stare! He made me wear that dress the rest of the evening, heh heh! On Sunday, my youngest son, Jerry, came over. He'd just gotten the cast off his ankle (he was riding motocross about 6 weeks ago and flew over the handlebars. He'd dislocated his shoulder, tearing tendons, when he did the same thing a few years ago, and didn't want to knock his shoulder out (it goes out very easily) so he tucked and rolled. Everything would have been fine if there hadn't been a hidden hole that caught his ankle, and snapped both bones (ouch). He finally got the cast off last week, but has to use crutches for a while. Coming into this place with crutches probably put him in danger of hurting himself again....I just can't understand how this place gets so cluttered! Anyway, after giving me a hug and apologizing for not getting me a card, he pulled a long, white leather case out of his pocket. When I opened it, there was a $50 bill, and when it fell out I saw the most beautiful diamond tennis bracelet! It had " M " s between the diamonds (they're tiny, set in white gold, but they're pretty close to perfect), and when I put pressure on it, it leaves " MOM " impressions in my skin. I know he had to save up for it, and it really touched me. He likes giving me bracelets, and I sometimes wear them all at the same time. , my oldest son, is taking me out to dinner tonight. It's a Japanese steak house, and we've been eating there on special occasions for the last 25 years. Maybe a carafe or 2 of hot Saki will make me feel better, lol! Our landlord is puttering around outside, and I hope to God that he doesn't want to come in and look around the place, because it's really a mess. I decided that with the way I'm feeling, I'm not going to worry about cleaning anything up, I'm just going to doze on the couch. My kids told me they're going to come over one day soon and clean the place up for me. said I need the scent of lemony freshness to make me feel better. Well, I know I'm babbling (just call me Brook!) so I'll stop now. Take care, everyone, and I hope y'all (or yous, as we used to say in PA) have a great day!
