Guest guest
I do know it is very common for diabetic females to get a yeast infection from poor blood sugar control. For whatever reason, maybe Pat can shed some light, the high blood sugar contributes to the yeast infection. I'd be curious to see the rate of yeast infections/a study of females with a1c levels of 5.0 against those of 6.0 or higher and the frequency of yeast infections in the different brackets of a1c levels. There are ways of limiting this, best is tighter sugar control, but am certain pat has some good tips and I do know that harry posted up on this last year quite a bit of information. If you are computer savvy, go to the mailing list archives and do a search for yeast infection and you should be able to find the various posts on them to read up on it. Guest guest
yeast infections are very comman in uncontrolled diaabetic females. They are also comman in women who are on antibiotics. If you keep your BG levels down in the normal brackett, yeast infections will stay down. Eating yogurt will help keep them down too-if you keep your BG down. also, taking tub bath with bubbles can contribute to the infection. They are most uncomfortable! Diabetics of either sex can get yeast infections of the skin anwhere. I had a female client who was terribley out of control and she had yeast infections on her legs that took a year to get rid of-and that only happeneded after I convinced her to chage doctors and she finally got under better glucose control. Guest guest
Yes, it is possible for some male diabetics to get a yeast infection, particularly those who have not been circumcised. Normally it is caused by trapped stale urine being collected at the back underneath the foreskin of the penis, it normally can be cleared up with a course of Antibiotics. However, if this treatment doesn't work, then doctors will suggest the patient to be circumcised. Guest guest
do you mean plain yogurt? cause I was told that and I was not sure. and what should sugars be when this happens to get rid it? uyeast infection > > > > Hello > I know this is not a cool topic, but I guess it's common in females, or do > males get too? > and how can it be controlled? > > > >
Guest guest
Sugars should be as near to normal-below 120-as possible. Either plain yougurt or flavored, it doesn't matter. Guest guest
, yeast infections are not cured by antibiotics. Anti-fungals are used. antibiotics can actually cause yeast infections if over used.
