Guest guest
Hey Lesa, welcome! I have just been on SBD for one week, having been on Atkins for a year. SBD is much better! You are not tempted to cheat cos you can eat so much more. And it is far cheaper. I have done my first week on SBD and I have lost 6 pounds already! which is more than I ever did for a year on Atkins! Good luck, hope you will succeed with this one - Caroline New here. Hi All~My name is Lesa and I am the mother of 3 beautiful chrildren and 2 surrogate babies all that left me gifts around my middle and butt and arms etc. (I am sure you get the picture) Anyway I am in the process of having another surrogate baby and my back went out. My doctor gave me the devistaing blow that unless I lose 50-80 lbs, no more babies for me!! OMG, I am so devistated! It is a big motivator, let me tell you. I was doing Atkins for a while but found that it was too hard to prepare all the foods and a little more expensive. I have found with SBD there are more items that I already have in my home that I can eat. I have considered switching for awhile but last time I fell off the Atkins Wagon, I could not pick myself up to get back on, not only that but with all the news of Cardiac issues, I am just scared. Anyway, I got the book friday, have been reading up, bought everything I needed for the first week and hope taht all goes well. Thanks~LesaReminder: The South Beach Diet is not low-carb. Guest guest
Welcome Lesa! I also did the Atkins and while I did loose weight it was very restricted and I felt deprived. When I did cheat on it it was impossible to go back to. I have not started the SBD but am hoping to make it to the store today to get prepared. I dont think I will have such a hard time with it. Hope your back gets better soon Sherry > Hi All~ > My name is Lesa and I am the mother of 3 beautiful chrildren and 2 > surrogate babies all that left me gifts around my middle and butt and > arms etc. (I am sure you get the picture) Anyway I am in the process > of having another surrogate baby and my back went out.
