Safety of Supplements

Dear Jan,

I leave on Thursday for San to speak at AADE (American Assocation

of Diabetes Educators). I am really looking forward to meeting old friends

and new! If you’re going, be sure to come to my talk on coaching and say

hi!

Meanwhile, I attended my first _Professional Writers of Prescott_

(http://www.prescottwriters.com/index.html) and it reminded me of the value of

networking! First of all, I met a large group of fellow writers and look

forward to getting more involved with this group. But I also learned about the

_Sedona Book Festival_ (http://www.wellredcoyote.com/sedonabookfestival.html)

, which I have decided to take part in. I’m currently looking for another

author in the area who would like to share a table! If that means you,

contact me!

My plan for this month is to GO FOR IT…100%. In fact, that’s what one of

my latest blogs is about! Read it _here_

(http://meg-enterprises.com/blog/business/going-for-it-100) . I have thus

already started the ball rolling to

set up more book signings. And, at AADE this week, I plan to have a great

time meeting new people and finding out how I can help them achieve their

goals.

How can YOU go for it 100%?? What does that mean to you and what holds

you back from doing so? Either email me or come join us on my _Facebook page_

(http://www.facebook.com/meg.enterprises) and share your thoughts.

Rest for fitness goals

I often talk about the importance of rest and balance. With my personal

training clients, I used to always counsel them on the importance of taking

days off. This is when the actual results come in when you’re weight

lifting. And rest helps replenish the muscles. In business, we need to rest, or

take breaks, in order to replenish our creativity and passion. I thought

this was a good article on the benefit of rest when exercising. Enjoy reading

Home-study course: Tactical Reimbursement

Our teleconference, _Tactical Reimbursement – Part 1: Becoming a

Provider_ (https://meg-enterprises.com/index.php/classes-cpes-mainmenu-46) was

a

HUGE hit! We had to close registration, in fact! And now it’s available as a

home-study course. So, if you are an RD who needs help deciphering how to

get on board with insurance companies, this is the course for you. Part 2

will take place in October. If you would like to be informed when it first

comes out, so you don’t get locked out, email me at

_margie@..._ (mailto:margie@...) .

Update on women-owned businesses

The latest report from the US Census Bureau just came out. Naturally,

there is a lot of information you can get from this report, but I always like

focusing on what’s happening with the ladies! Summary is this: Women-owned

businesses increased 20.1% since 2002 (most were in California) and, in

2007, there were 6.9 million women-owned businesses without employees,

generating $182.3 billion, which was an increase of 33.4% since 2002. Things

are

looking up! To read the report, _go here_

Taking a chance for growth

Speaking of women-owned businesses, the one thing that is always discussed

around women in business is that we, as a whole, are very cautious. I’m

not saying to bank it all on your success, but see what you can take from

this to help you move forward. Enjoy reading “_How plunging into debt led to

sales of $1 million_

Safety of Supplements

Do you know why you take the supplements you take? Do you read the

marketing in stores and on the internet and trust what you read? And, do you

believe that all of them are safe?? Well, this really is ‘buyer beware’

again!

Read “_Deceptive Marketing Of Dietary Supplements_

ements/) .†If you

aren’t sure why you’re taking something, stop taking it!

I hope you’re enjoying your summer. This is the calm before the storm –

service businesses generally pick up when the kids all start back to

school. So if you don’t feel READY for the storm, remember that I offer a

complimentary 30-minute coaching call to discuss how I can help you determine

what

you have to do to get ready.
