Guest guest
Hi my name is Terri and I am new....well I joined awhile back and have been lurking. I had started SB, but then we all got sick and I got off track and had a hard time getting back on track. I started back today and hope that my will power will be strong for the first few days to get over the cravings. I loved how good I felt when I was doing phase one back in February. I am 311 pounds and would love to get down to 160lbs...lower would be nice, but I always felt good at 160-170lbs. I am 32, married to a great and supportive guy Jay and we have 2 beautiful children.... (2 years) and Caroline (10 months). I have gained alot of weight over the years due to PCOS and Insulin Resistance, being on alot of infertility medications during our 5 year battle with infertility, miscarriages, etc...and just being depressed because I wasn't getting pregnant. So here I am, ready to lose this weight so we can hopefully try to have one more baby in another year or two. I never had problems with sugar levels, but when I get pregnant my sugar levels spike and I have to be on insulin shots 4-6x's per day. So I am hoping that losing weight will help me keep things under control so maybe I won't have to take as much insulin with another pregnancy. And also, I just want to be healthy for me...get off BP meds, be healthy for my kids so I am around for them, so I can move around easier to play with them more, and also to be here for my husband. Looking forward to getting to know you all better... Terri , 12/18/01Caroline Grace, 6/4/
Guest guest
Welcome, Terri!!! Our stories are similar. At my highest, I weighed 315. When I started SBD 7 weeks ago, I weighed 292. I now weigh 270, so I am making progress! I also have PCOS, and would like to get my insulin issues taken care of. I have been trying to get pregnant off and on for 3 years now. I am hoping the weight loss will help me to become pg, and help me to have a healthy pregnancy. Good luck! New here, too.... > Hi my name is Terri and I am new....well I joined awhile back and > have been lurking. Guest guest
YEAH!!! another Terri on the list. I'm Terri B. When I started the SBD I was 303 at 5'6. I started because my triglycerides and my Blood Sugar were up. My Doc suggested that I go on the SBD as well because of insulin resistance. She also started me on Glucophoge. I'm 26 days into the program and on phase 2. I've lost 18 lbs so far and my blood sugar is staying in normal range now. ((Between 79 and 90 )) My doc will probably take me off the meds soon. And am at 285 now. Good luck and I look forward to getting to know you better. Terri B.
