Guest guest
>Well a T3 rush is when your body receives T3 and all of a sudden >it is a little too much. I think the latter part of your description is more accurate! It's not that it's too much T3; it's more that the body is not used to the T3, and overreacts. Someone like myself with MVP showed that by having extra palps right after each increase. Glad you shared the meaning of your words! Guest guest
My mitro valve prolapse went away completely after taking my thyroid meds...I was thrilled. (and staying away from caffiene sure helped the symptoms to go away also) And yes by saying the body was getting too much....I meant that the body couldn't handle it. It wasn't used to T3 even though the body needed it badly...it didn't know how to handle the flow of all of the T3 all at once. Sorry if I confused anyone in anyway. I have had a hard time putting my thoughts together completely lately...sorry : ( PattiSue 29:11 Re: Shirley (Patti) Need help........ >Well a T3 rush is when your body receives T3 and all of a sudden >it is a little too much. Guest guest
Some of us finding that breaking the doses into smaller amounts and taking it more often is the best way to go... right now I'm taking 1/2 grain 6 times a day... I quarter my tabs and take a piece roughly every 3 hours, with the first dose as I wake up (I keep it next to the bed) and the last dose as I crawl back into bed at night... It's seems to keep the T3 level more even with no surges.... Just works the best for me.. I sleep sounder and am more rested on waking.
