Guest guest
The code 99211 is for a 5 minute office visit and 99213 is for a 10 minute office visit. I would definately look into the rates before deciding. Guest guest
Hello Everyone: Im dealing with the a situation similar to her. I am contracted with a Medical Group and provide consulting to patients within the medical group (HMOs). The Physician's office is switching to a different medical group and now he's asking me how I would bill PPO's. I've called a few insurances and they tell me that nutrition consulting is not a covered service, should I have the doctor charge the patient for the visit and have him pay me a percentage of the fee? Or what is the other option-- this would be mostly patients with a dx deemed for MNT - so the doctor does not want to charge them for it. Any suggestions would be appreciated, Sandy Cortez, RD CFT HFI Strive NEW consulting San Francisco Bay Area- - In rd-usa , hl brewer wrote: > > Ah, there is the difference. I am dealing with pediatrics. For IBD/IBS, Celiac, elevated LFTs (fatty liver aka Obesity referrals). For this population the coverage is very spotty at best. The only insurance in Las Vegas that is offering MNT coverage is Teacher's Health Trust (and I am a provider with them) with a $20-30 copay for the total payment of $75 per visit, 6 visits per year. > > Holly Brewer > > > >> > >> From: NutritionResults@ aol.com <NutritionResults@ aol.com> > >> Subject: Re: Need advice from RD's working in private practice > >> To: rd-usayahoogroups (DOT) com > >> Date: Monday, January 26, 2009, 9:21 AM > >> > >> > >> > > > > > > > > > > Recent Activity > > > > > > 1 > > New MembersVisit Your Group > > > > > > Biz Resources > > Y!
