Guest guest
To whom it may concern, I am very confused about the gluten status of your products. Although you state on your website that you clearly will identify major allergens: Do your products contain ingredients that I'm allergic to? Our products may contain an allergen. However, if a common allergen is in the food, it will be listed on the ingredient statement even if it appears in small quantities, and will also appear in bold letters underneath the ingredient list. We do purchase certain ingredients such as flavors and spices from suppliers, and they are required to comply with the same standards pertaining to labeling of allergens. We periodically audit our suppliers to ensure that their labels are current and in full compliance with all FDA and USDA guidelines. Which of your products contain gluten? We are sorry to inform you that we do not have a source that lists the gluten content of our products. However, our product labels list common allergens; such as wheat, for those allergic to wheat gluten. Apparently there is something that you are not disclosing as you have responded to an inquiry about La Choy soy sauce that it is NOT gluten free. ( I have included the response someone had posted on our e-mail list below.) Does it contain barley gluten or rye? I would most definitely like to know as the health of my son and thousands of Celiac sufferers is in jeopardy. There are thousands of people on the Celiac disease web forums and e-mail lists that believe your products to be gluten free because of the labeling. I would like a clarification of this matter so I can share this info with everyone so that those Celiacs who are using your products can cease using them immediately. Thank you for your response, Priscilla Graham > This was the response from ConAgra about LaChoy soy sauce.
