Guest guest
Dee, Isocort is a bit safer with practically no side effects. Something to look into someday if your gut tells you to. What you are doing today sounds good--staying on 2 grains and adding the T3, though a nice small amount for a while. Remember, slow and low tweaking is the way so many folks here have figured out their optimal dose. And yes, the T3 CAN initially aggravate the palps from MVP!! For me, it did it every time I increased, and each increase in palps lasted a week, then subsided. That's why I went up slowly, and made sure to wait 5 weeks between each increase. I WAS SO IMPATIENT, THO!!! But I also want you to know that early this year, when I tried to go from 2 grains to 2 1/4, I got MAJOR palps, not the nuisance ones that I had with each increase. I finally discovered that my low Ferritin (and maybe my low testosterone) were the culprits. Now that I have corrected those, I have been able to rise to 2 1/2 grains. Of course your fT4 was low on Cytomel. You weren't getting any!! And your thyroid may not have been producing enough, either. High labs do NOT mean you were hyper. SYMPTOMS will tell you if you are hyper, and you reported none. You keep up the good work...keep reading posts here, and keep asking questions. And maybe you can find that Top Doc who will be there right with you!! Janie aka ThyroDiva
