Our day at the hospital

Just wanted to touch base and let everyone know that Branden has been pretty

sick the past week. He has pneumonia and has started throwing up again- not

supposed to be doing this because he's had a Nissen. He's not tolerating

anything at all, so our surgeon had me bring him up to the hospital yesterday

and they placed a GJ tube in him so that we can totally bypass the stomach in

order to prevent any further damage being done to his Nissen and to get some

nutrition into him.

We hope that we can remove the GJ tube once this crisis has passed, but the

surgeon couldn't promise anything right now. The one thing I'm pretty sure

of is that we're headed back to the OR for a Nissen redo at somepoint. He'll

be having an Upper GI once he's healed from the pneumonia.

I'll try to keep you all posted as much as I can.
