CONSULTANT - SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES (Reference: CSTD-NACO; 1 Vacancy; Email: cstd-naco@... ) Job: National charge of STD activities at NACO; Planning, monitoring and supervising implementation of the STD Control Programme; Oversight of STD Clinics; Technical guidance for strengthening STD Laboratory Services; Technical support to institutions responsible for Case Management and Control of STD, etc. Eligibility: MD in Skin and VD or STD, with at least five years progressively senior experience in STD Control, preferably with major Hospital/ Medical Colleges. CONSULTANT - INJECTED DRUG USAGE (Reference: CIDU-NACO; 1 Vacancy; Email: cidu-naco@... ) Job: Overall charge of IDU activities at NACO; Facilitating, monitoring and supervising the implementation of Targeted Interventions for IDUs, including the Drug Substitution Project, in the North Eastern States; Development of customized IEC materials for IDUs; Advocacy of Harm Minimization/ Reduction strategies, to key influencers, administrators and the media, for reducing HIV prevalence among IDUs, etc. Eligibility: MD in Public Health Management or Masters in Sociology/ Social Work, with at least five years progressively senior experience in the field of HIV/AIDS. Prior involvement/ experience of managing IDU initiatives, is desirable. CONSULTANT - BLOOD SAFETY (Reference: CBS-NACO; 1 Vacancy; Email: cbs-naco@... ) Job: Key member of the Blood Safety team at NACO, contributing to the development of a national blood policy; Helping discharge NACO’s responsibilities as the national regulator of blood banks, covering supervision, monitoring and reporting on their functioning, expansion planning, etc.; Providing feedback to states on the performance of their blood banks, etc. Eligibility: MD/ PhD in Pathology/ Public Health/ Transfusion Medicine, with at least five years progressively senior experience in the field of blood safety, preferably in a managerial/ supervisory capacity. CONSULTANT - INFORMATION EDUCATION AND COMMUNICATION (Reference: CIEC-NACO; 1 Vacancy; Email: ciec-naco@...) Job: Facilitate the development of communication strategies for NACO, states and targeted population groups, using print, electronic media and outdoor campaigns; Advocacy of NACO’s policies and strategies to key influencers, administrators and the media; Production of newsletters and press releases, etc. This is a senior position, with potential for significantly impacting the communication strategy of one of the country’s most vital, national, health initiatives. Eligibility: PG Degree/ Diploma in Mass Comm./PR or Social Sciences, with at least five years, progressively senior communications experience, in the health or social sectors. Applicants must be familiar with social communication techniques, effective with high-risk population groups. Excellent writing and editing skills are essential and proficiency in MS Office, internet and web technologies desirable. Understanding of information gaps, among the community, retarding the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS, shall be an advantage. CONSULTANT - MONITORING & EVALUATION (Reference: CM & E-NACO; 2 Vacancies; Email: cme-naco@... ) Job: Key member of the Monitoring & Evaluation team at NACO, with responsibility for instituting M & E systems, responsive to the needs of different donors and projects; Tracking programme performance, alerting management about slippages and the need for course correction; Data collation and validation; Impact assessment, based on mid and end-term evaluations; Documentation of lessons learnt and/or suggestions for improvements; Strengthening internal reporting systems, etc. Eligibility: Masters in Statistics or equivalent, with at least five years progressively senior experience of designing, developing and implementing Monitoring & Evaluation systems for the health/ development sectors. Must be able to organize, analyze, interpret and utilize programme performance data. Experience of working with international donors in the UN system and in the region, shall be an advantage. All positions are based in Delhi. Incumbents must possess the ability to lead and work in teams, excellent oral and written communication in English and Hindi, and be willing to travel extensively. Successful candidates shall be initially offered a one-year contract, with possibility of renewal, based on satisfactory performance.
