Population Foundation of India is a non-governmental funding and promoting

organisation for developing as well as implementing gender sensitive population

and development policies, plans and programs. PFI " s registered office is in

Delhi and has offices/associates in fourteen states in India.

Population Foundation of India is one of the principal recipients for the

program " Access to Care and Treatment-ACT " of the Global Fund to fight AIDS,

Tuberculosis and Malaria (Round 4) to provide care and treatment services to

people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHAs) in 6 high prevalence states of India for a

period of 5 years.

As a part of the ACT project, Population Foundation of India has a mandate to

conduct Operations Research Studies on various issues concerning care and

support activities establishment and strengthening of networks, training, home

based care etc. in all the six states that helps improve program efficiency.

Population Foundation of India invites applications from consultants and

organizations for undertaking Operations Research Studies during June 2006 till

March 2007. The consultants/organizations should have

a.. prior experience in conducting similar studies in the field of HIV/AIDS,

particularly studies that are done for PLHAs and with PLHAs.

b.. at least 5 years of research experience in HIV / AIDS area, especially in

care and support component.

c.. should possess strong quantitative and qualitative research and analytical

skills.

d.. experience in good communications/interpersonal skills and strong

documentation skills.

Organizations/individual consultants who have proven skills may kindly forward

their complete profile including the organizational profiles of consultants

involved in the organization with brief write up on similar assignments

accomplished during the last three years. The consultants/firms may also

indicate the time they can devote for undertaking the studies and their
