Guest guest
hi dee in regards to using protopic i started a week ago. i had that burning feeling for 2 days and then it subsided. it burns more when i go and have a shower. i do not know what to say but still after using toilet paper irritation is there. still gets red. there is less pain during the day. for example, last night i had some irritation all of a sudden(i had some wine though) and throug the night and the whole day today. yesterday during the day it was ok. propably i should give it little bit more of the time, but for some reason i don't think that that redness is going to go away. what is the difference betwen antihistamine cream and protopic? p.s. does alcohol make it worse? Anja Re:a man with similar pain to ours HI Anja, I'm so so sorry hon you're not feeling any better. *sigh* It's just a damn shame! About the man with the sore penis and having sex, I just wanted to mention that Lichen Sclerosus can be found with men as well as women... and the foreskin adhere to the head of the penis, (boys as well)..... it's called Balanitis or BXO, when it adheres for men it's called phimosis. Treatments are the same, a steroid like the Clob and even the Estrace to loosen the adhesions. Although usually it's found in uncircumsized men, but not always. And I think you're right, not many men talk about it, but I think there are some lists/groups out there for it for men. Wishing you well hon and sending lots of healing thoughts your way. I'm so sorry. Just curious, have you tried the Protopic yet?
